So she made a massive post about her feels on the episode

She called the Lyra and Sweetie Drops thing 'queerbaiting'.
Jesus Christ-- it's a kids show. Any sort of possibly sexual relationship in a pony show would be confusing to a kid. Hetero or not. The 'canon' relationships are one married couple, and now another newly married couple.Married couples are just something young kids understand more, and that's the formula Hasbro is going with. There are some crushes, but those are unfulfilled and meant to relate to kids with crushes.
That being said, I love the term 'queerbait' now, it is hilarious. I've only heard it offensively, and seeing someone use in a 'serious' context...
I think I'm gonna rename my cat queerbait.
I'm bi/half gay so it's totally ok anyone else who says queerbait is a cishet privileged whitey.

Disregard my previous posts, because I didn't think she was worth a thread either until I saw some of the pictures she's drawn. But seriously, the fact that she has drawn what looks very much to be shota-guro-porn is incredibly ironic since she preaches the whole 'down with molestia' thing.

Oh that's right, I forgot that Dragondicks is big on DreamWorks memes. It's pretty weird to see her actually be calm about this considering how violently angry she gets with characters popular with fans. It wasn't even the first Big Lewbowski reference or appearance of them on the show, goddamn.

Usually she's just a contrarian that hates everything popular among dirty men so this is reserved. I find it amazing she really doesn't give a fuck about Steven Magnet though, for all her talk about representation. I think it's pretty safe to say she would have loved the shoutouts had they been to her little segment of the Internet by the way.

Drawing sick shit isn't enough to make a thread. Having sick fetishes isn't either. It's constantly talking about your fetishes which are sick and at the same time talking like you're a moral paragon who everyone should follow while you draw rape art that does. Being this spergy about ponies in a unique way also helped too.

She was big during the 'down with molestia' thing, which was started in 2013. Its amazing how much a hypocrite she is considering the rape porn she's drawn and continues to hide. It is interesting how she reprimands others for the things they've done in the past, and yet she's never brought up the things she's done. Like she's some kind of tumblr saviour.

Luckily her wonderful campaign has SAVED the fandom from pervs. Now we have kid-friendly blogs with a PROPER Celestia, like this

SERIOUSLY. I'm pretty autistic for the show myself, and it's dumb how she's expecting this show to be something it's completely not, has not been and surprised by old references.
"The Dude" pony has been seen a lot now. Him talking doesn't really surprise me.

Steven Universe has always been known for 'pushing the boundaries', so it's a little more unpredictable. MLP has been pretty vanilla and sticks to nerdy references. It doesn't push many boundaries and it's just a fun colorful show that people get waaaay too serious about.

I can't comment on Steven Universe because the thread was locked because of trollshields, but I remember seeing some clips and backgrounds and the whole show is full of references and innuendo. I honestly think it's just because it's not the references she likes.

I just think it's inappropriate because it has such a radically different meaning from "racebaiting." Racebaiting is using coded words say racist shit while still being able to deny being racist, even though racists will pick up what you really meant and use it to reinforce those racist beliefs. It shows up a lot on talk radio, political stump speeches, news programs, and other places that don't involve any fictional characters at all. Queerbaiting is just shipteasing with a gay couple in a fictional piece of media. Homophobes are still comfortable enough to bash gays outright without having to code their language the way racists would with minorities, so when we reach a point when they have to code their language for fear of reprisal, it's going to cause a lot of confusion because some Tumblrite felt the need to appropriate (heh) a valid term to apply to how Moffat won't make Johnlocke canon. :(

... Or Lyra/Bonbon canon, in Dragondick's case.

The fact that Tumblr decided to appropriate an actual term just because their precious OTP's aren't canon kind of shows that Tumblrfags care way more about their precious OTP's than they do about actual gay people. I mean, Tumblrinas were claiming to support gay rights and gay marriage in England just so that they can make fucking shitty-ass JohnLocke canon (which will never happen).

DD is obviously more pissed that her ship (LyraBon in this case) was not canon than actual queerbaiting much like many other Tumblrinas are. They care far more about ficitonal characters who are not real at all than they do about real people living in the real world. It's kind of pathetic when you think about it.

I have to admit, with her artwork I expected like, a tiny Sweet Lolita type who was fat but maybe dressed in pastels with some creepy goth shit thrown in and wore glasses and make-up and would be the type to have a million charms dangling off her phone.

I'm not horrified so much as severely underwhelmed.

Nah, this is pretty much exactly what I expected her to look like. I was surprised how everything clicked together.

She looks sickly. This adds a layer of depressing to this whole situation-- she's just a unhealthy gross person inside out.
It's ok though because she draws herself as a sweet kawaii bunny with a slender figure

DD loks a lot more depressing than I thought she would. Hell, she looks almost like your stereotypical tumblr user minus the dyed hair to be honest. That's kind of fucking sad, especially considering the fact that DD is a grown-ass woman and is much older than most of the tumblr user base. I highly doubt that she will grow up and better herself, therefore making her remain in this awful teenage, victim-complex mindset that she never grew out of. I need a fuckin' drink now.
