Also, for reference, that "Boys are lame" thing was paired with a male character saying "Girls stink." She actually had the gall to say that her infamous "I hate all boys" as well as those were satire. That was also the excuse of her superfan Ted Anderson, who put her OC in one of the official comics and got reprimanded for it. He eventually did admit he knew it wasn't satire and basically told everyone mad at him to check their privilege. The show is designed to sell toys to little girls. You really think they're going to rock the boat that much and make them canon lesbians?

Korra wasn't even that good and they did what they did with it because Nickelodeon didn't really give two shits about it. The show will be remembered for the ending scene partially because it was an attempt to disguise how mediocre-bad the rest of it was.

Again, I'm just amazed she was upset about this and not what I'd think she see, an incredibly flamboyant male character that's even more flamboyant than he was the last time he was shown. But I guess because he was a male she didn't care.

Considering she went through the stages of grief rather quickly and resolved to draw more lesbian art of the two characters, I think this might be the case. I get the feeling that even if they were said to be lesbians she would complain because it was done to background characters that only got the focus specifically for a special episode.

I hate when people scream homophobia because their favorite gay pairing isn't canon. When a pairing isn't canon, it's because those characters were never intended to be a couple in the first place. There's no secret conspiracy to keep gay characters off TV; kids' shows like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and Clarence all have canon gay characters. What bothers me, though, is the fact that, like @Gensdupays said before, these people think that gay representation in cartoons is the number one issue facing the gay community, when it's really the definition of a first world problem.
