Is that a Dumbo Rat? My wife and I had rats early in our marriage. One of them was a blue Dumbo named Hurley. He was so sweet and friendly. He was happy to just sit on my shoulder snuggled up next to my neck. Rats really are the best rodent pet, because they're generally more social than hamsters or gerbils.

This made me cry a bit actually, due to the fact my family used to have a 3 legged cat named Sonic around. Lost one of their legs because their umbilical cord cut off blood flow from one of their legs. They lived a good life, 8 years or so, which was made more impressive due to the fact they spent most of that time outside, which tends to lower the life expectancy, apparently. They were also female and had several litters, so they had kids and served that purpose as well. It's 21 days late to responding, but thank you for posting that. It's very nice and cute.
