This is an especially good painting because, I can’t say for sure, but I feel like the painter had a lot of fun painting this.

I feel like people treat swans way too harshly and label them as aggressive, when the vast majority of the time, that's only because the people calling them aggressive are being dumbasses and deliberately antagonising them. If you act normally around these birds and their adorable offspring, they're quite content to hang around, and the only reason why they might hiss and get defensive is if they think you're being threatening. As seen here, it's possible (though difficult, given that these birds are some of the most protective parents in the animal kingdom) to get them to show a surprising amount of trust; all you need is patience and to not deliberately annoy them.

As a bonus, coming from someone who lives near water and thus often comes across these birds - if there's cygnets around, try to mimic the whistling calls they have - they'll respond with calls of their own, and it really is quite adorable.

This popped up on my feed.

The title is slightly misleading, the dog essentially allows the cats to do what the fuck they like.

Battle geese are just passionate, that's all.
