I was working at a school recently and this dog jumped the fence from one of the houses behind. I managed to get the owners contact info from the vet’s phone number on the tag and I called them up…they were out of town and didn’t have anyone to contact to get the dog and bring her back home. It was a hot day so my coworkers and I all gave the dog some of our water and she drank it out of a hard hat. The owners didn’t really seem to care that the dog was loose and the wife said “oh my husband said she does that all the time, she’ll go back on her own when she gets hungry”

I don’t know what happened to that dog but she was a nice dog. Very friendly and she was just following us from spot to spot as we worked.

EDIT: I just wanna say if it wasn’t clear from the rest of the post that the owners seemed kind of dismissive about the dog, it made me a bit sad. They either didn’t have anyone to call while they were out of town, or they didn’t care enough to call anyone.

as I'm primarily interested in dumb Rekieta's antics, and I learned exactly what he did to a poor skunk, I researched them and my verdict is that they're uber cute
