Mary (c. 1894–September 13, 1916), also known as "Murderous Mary",[1] was a five-ton Asian elephant[2] who performed in the Sparks World Famous Shows circus. After killing a keeper on his second day at work, in Kingsport, Tennessee in 1916, she was hanged in nearby Erwin.

The pilgrims were English Puritans. The Mayflower was a *British* ship. There is a school in Billericay, Essex, (England) named after it. Some of my family attended that school. The funny thing is, the Pilgrims left the UK because it wasn't strict enough..

The Puritans were a group of British exiles who had fled to the Netherlands to avoid religious persecution then left The Netherlands because they weren't able to enforce their religion on the dutchies. When the Mayflower hit the US any non-puritan was ordered to fuck off somewhere else (where they founded Rhode Island county).

The puritans were british but hadn't lived in England for decades
