I don't necessarily disagree, but why in this particular case? He wasn't arrested for flipping off the camera, he was arrested and convicted for fitting his car with illegal devices to avoid prosecution for driving like a cunt. Even then you normally only get a fine and possibly a suspended sentence if you have previous, but this dickhead tried to destroy evidence which is the sort of thing judges take a dim view of, even in the USA.
