"Soy chorizo" literally means "I am sausage."

How did it come recently in the USA that "chorizo" specifically means "loose, extremely greasy sausage?" Hot dogs are technically chorizo.


Also, "cacique" means "Indian Chief," from some extinct Caribbean language. I find it odd that fat girls buy lingerie at Indian Chief.

Well because the US has a shit ton of sausages from German styles, Italian style(s), american styles (including Hotdogs), etc. I am assuming Chorizo was used as a way to express "Hispanic style sausage" back in the day like "Wurst" can be used for Germanic sausages.
