There are (alleged) recordings of several space missions that failed from the USSR, including ones where the cosmonauts can be heard asphyxiating due to apparent equipment failures, fires on board, people sobbing and crying and begging for ground control to find a way to bring them home, and several where due to one thing or another the spacecraft just veers off into space with no way to return... they're pretty hard to listen to. They were supposedly overheard by some Italian ham radio enthusiasts back in the 60s, and have apparently been rebutted but it would be a strange thing to hoax.
