Why does plankton look like a boss from a Yakuza game?

It's not bad character design for a theater version of Plankton tbh. Actually all of them are pretty good interpretations except for Sandy. Sandy is a fucking Squirrel from Texas, not a nigger.

They are actually pretty good costumes. I don't really mind sandy as weird as the idea of her having an Afro instead of a helmet is, I'm more annoyed at mr krabs having huge ass boxing gloves.
