What's funniest about this is that there is almost NO sexualizing the kids (at least in the first half of the movie that i've seen) even until they get in the big dance compilation. I was expecting to have underage girl pudenda shoved in my face repeatedly when I went to watch this, instead I got a fairly well thought out bio-doc about a muslim black girl being raised in a western society and seeing all the hypocracy of Islam as practiced in sub-saharan Africa such as a woman expected to be happy that her husband has decided to bring home a second wife from Senegal, and she is ordered by senior muslim women in the community to 'not shame them all' and to call multiple people, tell them that she's going to be a secondary wife from now on, and that she's cool with it and blesses their marriage bed....until she hangs up 'on accident' and breaks down crying with her daughter (who'se pussy I have yet to have shoved in my face) hiding under the bed hearing the despair of her mother before she collects herself, finishes the call telling whoever that she hopes Allah blesses their marriage bed with many children...with her husband.
Dunno if it finishes in a completely gratuitous way that mainstream media is screaming and clutching pearls over, but the first half is a damn good story that happens to focus on pre-pubescent girls trying to enter a beauty pagent.
