I liked the part where they mentioned 4chan having 69 boards.

But do they answer the question of if there are over 9000 penises?

I think this is somewhat old. Gotta say though, automatically parsing *chan post data could yield enormous amounts of very interesting information.

/pol/, 8/pol/, and /leftypol/ are all part of the cancer that's killing the internet.

i laughed like a mad man when i saw them using math to determine the the correlation between hateful comments on youtube and /pol/

I'd be surprised if the CIA or someone else hasn't already looked into harnessing the weaponized autism of /pol/.

All this autism and we have yet to make something useful for it in the form of a tool of power. A superweapon for this sounds plausible.

A superweapon using the power of /pol/... What should we call it, provided should it ever come to fruition??? For bonus points, it can't be similar to anything from Star Wars.

The Absolute Ultimate Total Incinerator Super Machine.

I'm amazed they haven't pulled the plug yet; the ICWSM conference was doomed to get co-opted at some point simply due to its subject matter. Don't cover social media if you want useful contributions to science, it's just that simple. STSfags taking over would have been bad enough, but it's depressing to see any part of AAAI's legacy getting clubbed over the head with the speculative end of Computational Sociology.
Both McCarthy's are rolling in their respective graves.
