What's worse about it is content creators like ReviewTechUSA and SOG are playing into his hand (only two I could personally comment on but there are many more I've seen in my recommended feed I haven't given a shit to watch). They're giving him this attention and he's giving them ad revenue. The funny thing is: these YouTubers barely have a clue that they're helping Soulja and think they're just damaging his reputation and he's getting nothing good from it. In reality, Soulja is getting off on the fact that he's being talked about. He's probably jerking his superior black shaft reading angry Twitter and Insta posts about him as we speak. At least, that's what I would love to be true because the thought of him turning out to be someone like that is absolutely hilarious. Sadly, it's only a theory.

I wouldn't say Epic is good, really the most useful thing they did was air all the dirty laundry during their assorted court cases.

The storefront could be something special like GOG under the right management. But I think it's secondary to their Unreal Engine and Freemium Games they put out. The store seems mostly there for clout and to write things off with.

If they're bad, why would Sony invest in them and release their games there? They don't need Epic money.

Yeaaah, but wouldn't they make more money releasing on Steam day 1 instead of putting money into Epic and releasing their exclusives on EGS? They want to sell games and make money, right? I'm sure Valve would welcome their games like they welcome trash but they didn't release them there. So Sony Supports Epic's Effort.

I hate the stupid Epic vs Valve fight. Let me tell you, Epic is shit. It's not a good competitior. It's nowhere near. The only reason it's relevant is because it bought a lot of exclusives in the past. The reason people vehemently defend it is because it gives out free games.

Epic doesn't do anything good for the customer. It does jack shit for developers. Steam is superior cause it offers a lot of features consumer wants, like reviews, the amazing storefront, etc. The only company that comes close is GOG, and it's a decent competitor. Epic is not. Cut that shit out, Fortnite shill.

IIRC in the court case documents, Epic didn't want to pay the fees to have the Sony Exclusives on there day 1 so Steam wound up getting some.

Honestly it's no secret that Epic was founded on ching-chong money and Sony investing in epic was more or less a pathway towards Epic's masters.

they didn't really add any new features in a while tho, besides some VR stuff which was it's own executable. I think they switch the library to html (or at least parts of it) which makes it sluggish since chromium isn't that performant.

A trimmed down, legacy version would be fantastic. Even if it means you can't access the storefront, and maybe even the friends list. Being able to play old XP games would be good too, and Win 7 is going to be dropped eventually so legacy support for that should be included too.

You're more than likely to see that from GoG Galaxy than from Steam.

People were being warned that XP was going to be dropped months in advance and Valve was just planning on letting it be that way. In comparison, Apple's store has had entire games become unable to work on newer versions of IOS and their hardware and it's never gotten any major pushback because more people want new shit and not the old.

"better" is relative, and all that means is epic is in a pre-greenlight state. if they really had dethroned valve the next second you'd have some genderfluid dangerhair complain about not being allowed to publish her jerk-off material and timmy would've caved - money is money after all.
