People are already losing their shit over the Neptunia/Senran kagura crossover game.

Except nothing has happened and it's being entirely developed in partnership with Sony itself since day 1, because both IF and Marvelous want to branch out into anime series again and Sony is the main worldwide distributor pretty much now and forever because of how much fucking money Mugen Train made.

There was a stability fuck up that caused a month delay, because neither of the IP holders have a history of releasing games in working order. That caused many to scream they don't care what the game plays like, just as long as they can see panties.

It's generally doesn't look that much different than what came before, everything is thematically appropriate considering the source material.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=jU7SfPDXy-o
The main guy who left Marvelous really wasn't some kind of visionary either, he literally put in the least amount of effort possible. So it's been kind of funny watching them lament the companies continuing Senran kagura without him at the helm. They compared it to Metal gear without Kojima. However the crossover game somehow looks the most polished out of any of the actual Senran Kagura games that were made under him.

It's going to be interesting to see the comparisons between this and Utawererumano ZAN II. They're both the same type of game and they're both playstation exclusives,
Neptunia/SK fans are doomsayers cut from the same cloth as Sankaku complex. The problem they were wanted this on top of the intimacy mode that was removed because Sony got all butthurt about the shameful legacy of the Vita

Or this

But this game will be as sterile as Kandagawa jet girls. Stuff you know would happen that isn't allowed to happen.

They apparently just delayed Horizon Forbidden West because they're going to fix Aloy's face.

It's a full year delay so it's pretty major.

Lol probably afraid the Genshin Impact Aloy would be the hot one and the PS5 the fat western one
The Genshin Impact one looks like something out of Maple Story. Like when people would try to make Trinity or Neo in one of those games out of pre-existing character assets.

But it's ok to make an attractive female character, but you have to label it as "Fierce". Like being pretty and gentle would agitate the shriveled ovaries of many wine aunts.

But the fact is girls still don't play games in their formative years and they're having to fake studies that say "yes girls play games" for equality. There's a bunch of ways where you can self reference fake made up research with no repercussions. But this also happens in serious fields like medicine so nobody is really going to give a shit about fake game demographics.

So a while back I talked about idol manager, turns out I made a goof thinking they are American devs trying to impose socjus values to a genre that hasn't been criticized harshly.

Turns out they are Russian, and the Russian weebs also made Everlasting Summer.

But there has been drama because of how the adult content was removed after it was promised as a kickstarter goal at 9000 (Idol Manager got 55000) with an R18 option due to the fact an actual indie idol group (Kamen Joushi) decided to sponsor the game and not wanting the fallout of having an eroge be supported by an idol group had the content removed completely.

For a game that said would tackle the less than glamorous side of idols Glitch Pitch gave up easily the moment they got a chance to go up in the world

Yeah so people are blowing the censorship policy's effect out of proportion, we have panty shots, boob jiggle, cleavage shots all returning. pantaloons.png

There's some post production trailer effects but they're video editing elements and are not part of the final build.

It's unknown if costumes can be fully customized, it sounds like there's going to be themed DLC sets. They're supposed to be combining elements from both Senran kagura and neptunia so Neptunia never put an emphasis on costumes.

Should have listened to the fans first, instead of the critics that might get paid by the Sony elite behind the scenes that initially bought into the premise.
The eastern character "design" is a steaming pile of generic, lazy, cartoony horseshit tho. Weeb tards are pure cancer. For them female characters have to look like japanese cartoon children no matter age or profession. The opinions of anime spergs are worthless because it always boils down to whining about characters not looking like mango & animu abominations.

Genshin art style is very stock.

Ironically, the Fortnite design isn’t too bad and doesn’t look like she flew in from several other games.

Still disappointed about Marvelous' last game. They sold 'wet tshirt contest, the game' and delivered a mediocre jetski racer.

And, I don't get Senran Kagura games. The jiggle physics and strip-finishers are nice, but the gameplay and difficulty seem so underwhelming. Always spend more time in the costume editor than actually playing the game.

There's literally zero effort put into the actual gameplay itself, they were made to be merch marketing platforms first and games second, despite the games being the only aspect that performed better after the anime bombed.

For similar reasons it's why neptunia gets a game or two per year, no time is spent on development. Which is why the last few games have been released with game breaking errors that force you to restart the whole game.

I was wondering who'd take over NIS America's ineptitude to release games that would fuck up your gameplay. The newer Neptunia games are pretty much remakes of the original outside of the hack and slash entries. And even those get remade.

You constantly defended and downplayed the content guidelines since 2018 because of your sony fanboyism, you have absolutely no right to proclaim anything of that sort.
Not to mention the damage has already already done in terms of reputation and I heavily doubt an eventual exception is gonna save Playstation in the japanese market considering the other fuck-ups, such as the globalized O/X button scheme, that make the japanese audience feel like they're anything but second/third-rate customers.

The game has also yet to be released in that form, wouldn't be impossible for a dangerhair in SIE California to start asking for changes before the initial full release on September 16th in Japan.

I said the censorship didn't matter because the games were primarily shit and that was the bigger issue. And you know what it still is.

It's set to come out in September but stuff is already going to press so there's not a whole lot of stuff they can change at this point. It takes about a month to press and ship shit to stores.

The PS5 is not exactly hurting for Japanese games either, especially since it has quite a few things already slotted for it that the PS4 didn't even have when it launched. It's already well past the PS3 in sales at this point making a new low impossible. Tales of Arise is coming before the first year of PS5's launch where as the PS4 had to wait a long ass time for Tales of Zestiria and then much longer for an actual good Tales game. Elden Ring is coming to the PS5 like around January putting it at just slightly over the 1 year mark for the first souls game to make an appearance.

So it's like nothings really changed in the end. It's going to probably have a better library of JRPGs than the PS4 had.

Using the quality of the game as a way to defend censorship mandated by the console manufacturer is shitty no matter what. You have a field day when Nintendo or Steam have records of imposing censorship towards third-parties (regardless of said game's quality), but when Sony is involved instead then that company is suddenly above criticism. That's why you're such a dishonest guy in addition to be a delusional sony fanboy sleeping under a rock.

And I'll have you remember that Playstation game sales keep getting lower and lower in Japan if you regularly look up in Famitsu or Media Creates, the PS5 has like the lowest attach-rate ratio of any PS console within the same time frame and since the brand's existence. That's where it counts the most, not hardware sales. If nobody is buying japanese games on Playstation in the home market then don't expect much japanese games in return, that's how basic business goes. Big budget titles are forced to be multiplatform day one (or die, in the case of Lost Judgement for example) because PS don't pay the bills anymore, and the obsession over higher graphic fidelity just keep making things worse for vidya between storage issues, causing massive delays and significantly longer dev times (meaning less games overall).

It's also funny how Playstation is barely no different from the Xbox, the games you named (Elden Ring and Tales of Arise) are even present there.

Sad, because game has solid foundations (it's literally the same gameplay in all the sequels, with little to no changes made though).

Dude people buy Japanese games in other countries in larger numbers than Japan, the japanese market has zero bearing on if the PS5 is going to keep getting JRPGs in America, especially after half of Genshin Impact's billion dollar+ sales globally are entirely from Playstation and that's a Chinese RPG. Other RPG devs are going to be drawn to that because there's a large audience globally who want the same genre. The Japanese Market hasn't been a dealbreaker since the mid 90's because if it was the Saturn and Dreamcast would not have failed.

The core audience for both the Soulsborne series and Tales of are also not on Xbox. They're going to be primarily on Playstation and PC.

You don't know what you're talking about with graphics either because the switch has hardware fuckery that makes it less efficient to develop for since it's the odd man out and PC Xbox and PS5 are all on the same wavelength when it comes to development. Switch ports are the ones that are always delayed, it's not the other way around. Having more powerful specs has always been the case with consoles that's expected of them. It's the hardware bottlenecks that increase development time which PC, PS5, and Xbox have all stuff that developers know how to get around from compared to something like the PS3 which had unique hardware and specs and made it a pain in the ass to get games working right. The switch is the same as the PS3 in that regard, because there's a laundry list of switch ports that have something wrong with them that work fine with other systems.

Mind you, you still get budget releases on the PS5 like CrisTales already. So it's still keeping the same variety of titles that previous playstation consoles were known for. Sony is still helping fund development of third party titles, that hasn't stopped. Nintendo has no real interest in doing that, so that's always going to be a major attraction for publishing with sony in that regard.

Is anyone else talking about what is happening in Blizzard?

https://youtube.com/watch?v=fAl03SL1Z5E
I've seen people talking about this in the WoW thread (Among a lot of WoW lore I really don't understand).

My hot take/conspiracy theory is that this is a combined effort to try and unionize a major game studio after someone or some people tried to get their way and were repelled by management; my main reason for believing this is because most of the information has come from Jason Schrier and his "anonymous insiders" (Aka his personal friends). The lawsuit itself comes from a department that seems to live by making slap suits, they just fill in these reports with little evidence, file a lawsuit and later reach a settlement in court because companies just want them to go away.

Do I believe there's some harrassment going on? Yes. Is it to the level of the reports? Hell no, most of it has likely been fabricated or taken out of context (The Cosby picture for instance just screams to me men hanging out and making jokes). Either way this is Activision Blizzard, if Bobby decides to just nuke them out of existance I can't say I will be very sad about it

You fool, this is what Feminism was invented to stop.

Why do you think prohibition was considered a dry run? They went after the bars, the life source from which all fat jokes and bathroom humor came from.
