Didn't she say that she was leaving the industry a couple years ago? Polygon made a write up about it praising her as a Christ like martyr that was too good for this world.
Going to her YT channel it would seem she has moved to criticize movies and hollywood (Particularly Consoomer Dc, Marvel and Disney shit).

Let's be honest here nobody in that circle is likely to take her seriously and it won't really matter how much her friends try and screech about it she will never be part of Hollywood's rich and famous at this point.

Ergo all she can really do is continue to get money from an industry where she is protected from all possible harm by her circle.

Such is life.

This was five days ago, but as a person who still plays the original PS consoles (PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, etc.), it’s kind of bizarre to know that ever I since I chose not to buy this console, I never in my 20+ years of life would see the day Sony struggling to get more new buyers to play what was supposed to be a “game-changing“ console.

Not really groundbreaking or earth-shattering news, but it’s also not something you think about regarding video game technology these days.

pretty sure most people consider the ps5 basically "ps4.5 but in white". there isn't really anything game changing about it besides higher specs and not intentionally gimped hardware like the sata controller.

good luck getting more chips tho, everyone wants those now and car manufacturers are much bigger.

Not to mention there is an official page of PS Studios on Steam so it's now expected to see all those PS4 (and probably PS5 too) exclusives to be released elsewhere.
The PS5 being a big commercial flop with all the heavy scalping and lack of public interest may have played a part on this, so I guess SIE is trying to buy time by porting their first-party games in hopes the PS5 situation might get better in the future.

Prepare for an unholy amount of salty internet reactions once Bloodborne comes out on PC

Heavying scalping doesn't translate into lack of public interest because the systems sell on ebay. If heavy scalping wasn't translating into profits the scalpers would have stopped at this point because nobody would be making money. This is the longest time scalping has gone on for a console. Every single console sold is well above MSRP.

Both the PS5 and Xbox get scalped but the PS5 sell on ebay at a much higher rate. You can look up how frequently they get sold and what they went for on ebay.

Bloodborne is getting a TV show, it's more than likely a remaster is going to follow for the console. They're not going to kneecap the playstation 5 because if they did that how could people pay for PS+ and buy stuff on the Playstation store? Digital purchases make up a large segment of their revenue stream, by surrendering stuff to steam they lose over 50%, it's stupid and nobody in charge would OK it. The entire reason why they're doing TV shows to begin with is to translate into console sales.

The Playstation Studios page was mostly for the Chinese website version of steam because they don't have games like Horizon classified under the current banner. They're putting the TV shows and movies out in that region as well. You can thank Michael bay for opening up that can of worms with the retarded transformers movies.

All I can say is I practice one Jewish sacrament, and paying above MSRP for FUCKING ANYTHING violates it. Christ, I won't even pay retail for most things.
We're of the same mind, I've seen some shit drop to 700 bucks, and I just can't bring myself to hitting buy it now.

Even though 700 is now the baseline price and shit will be close to a grand or over within a few hours if it's an auction with no BIN.

Costco can't even get PS5s and Costco can get anything.

given the state of most japanese ports it will probably run and look worse than on a base ps4...

There are still bad apples (the average Koei-Tecmo and Squeenix release) but PC ports of console japanese games have greatly improved compared to what we used to get in the 2000s and the first half of 2010s

Gravity Rush and Soul Sacrifice Delta are the two titles I'd like to see on PC frankly

Gravity rush requires the use of the gyro component for both the VITA and PS4 versions. There's no widespread standardized controller that has that form of control for PC.

If they're going to bother reworking it that much, they'd just as soon put it on the ps5 because unfucking the motion controls is a major overhaul(you can see the Switch release of Skyward Sword for an example). They have no plans to institute official stand alone DS4 or DS5 drivers for the PC, and they're still intending on supporting Epic's storefront.

So any and all Sony support for the PC is really not a priority for them it seems. Don't expect much, you're more than likely to see stuff put on PSNow and that run through a streaming program on the PC. Because they're overhauling the internal networks for that and plan on adding more stuff to it.

Gyro isn't required on Gravity Rush, in fact I recall you can turn it off on the Vita version and just rely on the right stick instead. Wouldn't surprise me if the PS4 version does it as well. And it's not like a mice couldn't do the aiming for the other users who prefer the mice+keyboard combo instead of a controller

why are you upset over the prospect of Sony games coming on PC though

bluepoint, who did GR also mangled sotc and DeS, so it's still a pretty shit ratio. NISA is also still gets paid to fuck up games with their shit-midas touch.
and even if ports are in a somewhat working state, it's usually only the bare minimum which is hardly better than the average console version just with "antialiasing on/off" added. or they go all out and make it the best version it can be with options out of the wazoo, almost bipolar how it's either one or the other.

You can't turn off the gyro all you can do is just lessen the sensitivity in the first game. Even if you have it turned all the way down the controls will still have an effect on Kat's movement, which makes getting the best time on some of the DLC time trials pretty annoying.

Moira you are aware you can just hook up a PS3 or PS4 controller to your PC yes? And that Steam has had this option for fucking ages now?

And even if this didn't exist that there are controllers compatible with the switch, phones and PC that have gyros and are cheap like this one? Have you ever emulated anything from the wii or PS3 or are you just talking out of your ass here?

And yeah I second the question why are you upset over the prospect of Sony bringing bad ports to the PC to begin with? I cannot speak for the rest of the PC players but I'm really used to having to fix and configure shit that the developers couldn't be bothered to do before starting a game, I believe most people can figure that shit out it isn't hard.

They're not drivers put out by Sony itself, if you plug in a DS3, DS4, or DS5 windows just registers it as a standard game controller. While the default buttons may work fine depending on your system and settings, the extra stuff like Gyro and other gimmicks won't, without a ton of fucking with your settings and that's not something that's guaranteed to work because it's game dependent.

There's specific points in quite a few exclusive games where the controller gimmicks are required. Which means you get cockblocked by it.

It honestly reminds me of the copyright protection earlier games had where you needed a codebook or some extra piece of paper that only came with a boxed copy.

If sony was serious about pursuing PC as a primary option they would have added official drivers so everything works out of the box. Relying on fans or third party to fix shit isn't something that's a cornerstone of a primary market.

And yes this happened before where stuff needed to be changed and then further changed for ports, Ys Memories of Celceta had a ton of gimmick puzzles specifically for the Vita, they changed the way the whole controller scheme worked for the PC port and then changed it again when the game was ported over to the PS4.

I've emulated Heavy rain and the motion segments worked fine with a cheap controller, I honestly have no idea what the hell copyright protection you're talking about here. Gyros aren't some mythical piece of lost tech they're just motion sensors that can be emulated a thousand different ways (Hell, I once emulated a Wii controller for Mario Kart using my phone and one of those stupid looking gamepads where you're supposed to place your phone in the middle).

The lack of official drivers is also irrelevant, Steam already provides good ones from my experience and there is an open source alternative that has been developed for over four years and even offer sensibility options.

Plus whatever else I'm pretty sure whatever issue comes from porting there's some autist that can figure it out, that's the beauty of the PC, there's always a solution.
