Pretty sad the devs caved in though just because someone in the team had some common sense, but I suppose it's another lesson to not use Discord (or social media beyond announcements).

The only thing I can find on them changing stuff was a bar of soap called O'Gay, a play on Olay brand soap bars... and they never intended for the joke to be in the game at launch as they moved the object to areas that were supposed to be inaccessible and forgot one. Plus this move is mostly on 3D Realms' part and if I remember right they're pretty pozzed.
 
I guess this explains why the tranny VA was bullying people on Twitter for "misgendering" the robot. Then again, the Gearbox Forums and r/Borderlands have always been veritable cesspools of exceptionalism and hurt fee-fees who ban people who disagree with them so this isn't really all that surprising.

Lack of proper English aside, I didn't really care if they wanted to keep their fictional nonbinary gender in a fictional game with their fictional robot (which... aren't robots entirely about the binary? lol) but noooo they just had to go and pitch(ford) bitch fits about people not agreeing with them or bowing to their superior knowledge. Good on you... Borderlands subforum mod, you sure showed us.

Aren't people like cancelling their pre-orders over this because it's ridiculous? I wonder how well it'll sell now considering most of the people that complain about this don't even buy or play the games they champion for.
 
I wouldn't buy the game now as it would only encourage developers to believe that catering to these crazy fuckers works.

So far it's turned the community into a divided mess, more so than the ResetEra outrage. I would skip it and it pains me to say that.

And that was due to it being an accident. They didn't bother to add code for character specific lines, but those lines were in the game resulting in a character flirting with everyone instead of a specific character.

Trevor Project is just an LGBT suicide hotline that actually answers the phone. It's a legitimate charity. It's just the timing and the censorship that's shit.

I was literally in their discord a couple nights ago saying "ignore ResetEra, let the troon drama blow over, apologizing to them will only hurt you", but no one ever listens to me and now this happens.
