@Marisa Moira on your most recent take involving Neptunia and Senran Kagura coming from someone who hates the series.

You are a broken record, trying to defend an unforgivable gaffe from Sony who decided to treat a consumer base like dirt. Sometimes you just gotta admit that Sony made a move that alienated the weebs

Meanwhile for some small news, the Blue Archive Reddit Discord had another lockdown over it's nsfw section because of a bunch of kyles raiding the discord and spamming cunny memes.

Screenshot_20211201-153732~2.png

Make no mistake, Blue Archive only got attention because it actually listen to what the fanbase wants and is a waifu fantasy gachashit like Azur Lane. And like Azur Lane it has the unofficial title Cunny Archive because the fanbase cannot stop having sexual fantasy or retweeting nsfw artwork of the lolis of the game. Can't blame the discord users for being mad though, reminds me when XSeed nuked their nsfw channel on Discord

But Discord loves pedophiles. Their own global mod staff are huge on cub porn.

I have a hard time garnering any sort of sympathy, for they are also the same people who like Sword Art Online and Darling in the Franxx.

People said we should have stopped them at K-On all those years ago. But it got worse after that, they bought into idolshit and other things that belonged in the trash.

Probably shouldn't have made the server public really, they should have known that a game like that would draw the attention of Discord at some point (though they'll conveniently turn a blind eye at furry porn and guro shit because it's run by furry degenerates.)

They know but they didn't know how bad it can get and the BA audience are horny as it gets.
I don't think they really spend all that much with the game itself. They just want the supplementary material.

I mean this is nothing out of the ordinary, it's the same shit that's been going on for decades at this point. If they'll jerk off to the characters from Blue Archive, they'll jerk off to anything because honestly in my opinion the designs are nothing special.

If you were to take Blue Archive and make it a single player game there wouldn't be a whole lot to it. Art direction can't really carry the game all that far. But if that's all these people want there's probably better means to deliver it to them rather than a mobile game that might not last 2 years.

Now the real funny thing is that many governments are now considering anti-scalping laws in specific relation to video games, which is now causing resellers to shit their pants.
scalped.jpg

Most places are now afraid of surprise federal raids now since a few governments are considering wanting to install a snitch line. The fact is this really can't be policed but much like corona restrictions the fear is they're going to try their damndest to fuck everything up.

anyways no feds are going to get their hands on my copies of Sneak-king

Good. I want to see this play out. The ATF getting jurisdiction over scalpers would be hilarious.

The Discord post btw.

There isn't anything wrong with "generic" if the designs sell and the audience is content with it. Then it has a proper fanbase that unfortunately didn't had restraint

Update: The ban on NSFW is now permanent, this is why we can't have nice things like anime games with shameless pandering. Take me back to 2006 please

Him trying to make it sound like he rage quit was no different than the shit Phil Fish pulled.
One was a hipster who took all the credit for someone else's work, and cancelled his next game when that guy left. The other wanted to make a game with specific content who quit after management said he couldn't do that any more. No difference at all.

They didn't even bother programming the AI for stuff like Jet Girls and that's a pretty major oversight to have non-functioning AI for a racer.
Because due to Sony policies, everyone with talent left, and those that couldn't leave phoned it in for a paycheck.

There is a similar story of a japanese scalper who recently was arrested
With demand outstripping supply in the gaming space it's led to increases in scalping and thefts, with another example appearing in the Japanese media (via Sankei and Kotaku). With Switch systems and the PS5s in particular being hard to find in Japan, one man entrusted with a significant amount of stock for delivery ended up selling them privately for a profit.

It was confirmed by police in Tokyo that a man was arrested after selling around 200 consoles and games. The unemployed man (Japanese media often reports employment status when reporting arrests) was given the goods for home deliveries in October, but instead sold them to stores in the popular Akihabara district; the value of the goods was reportedly around 5.8 million yen (approx $51,100USD) with the man's profit from his sales reportedly being just over half that amount.

It's a dispiriting tale of course (thefts of deliveries were a major story globally with the launches of PS5 / Xbox Series consoles last year), and the man was reportedly staying at various internet cafes (where sleeping booths are available) around Tokyo. He is quoted as saying he committed the theft due to money problems, but largely spent the earnings gambling on horse racing.

Stock of the latest gaming systems is currently short in Japan (like in many places), with previous reports that Switch OLED sales have been constrained by low supplies.

A rather sad state of affairs in all respects, we'd suggest.

Because due to Sony policies, everyone with talent left, and those that couldn't leave phoned it in for a paycheck.
Even japanese third-parties that were hard supporters of Sony/Playstation over the past decade have been recently changing their tactics due of the abysmal performance of the Playstation 5 in Japan (which is a bigger commercial flop than the PSVita, WiiU and Xbox360 combined within the same time-frame):
Nihon Falcom is bringing Switch development in-house (previous Switch ports were handled by NISA and Clouded Leopard Entertainment)
Vanillaware seem to port their games on Switch, starting with 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim (that Sony hardly acknowledged on its own store page in spite of the critics rewards)
Bandai Namco finally bent the knee by allowing the Switch port of .hack//G.U., the publisher stated the port would sour its relationship with Sony back then.
“Have you ever thought of porting .hack//G.U. Last Recode to Switch?’ Of course, we have! We have actually made the proposal multiple times! Even during the production of Last Recode for PS4, we knew that Nintendo Switch was a huge hit all over the world and there was talk of releasing the game on Switch.

But I don’t know if you are aware of this, but .hack series have always been released exclusively for PlayStation. Of course, Last Recode was released not only on PS4, but also on Steam. So it’s available on the digital distribution service on PC as well. But because of our long-standing relationship with Sony, I understand that it was difficult to release it on Switch then at the same time. But the idea of releasing Last Recode on Nintendo Switch itself is appealing.

You're wrong about 13 sentinels not being acknowledged, it had pretty big advertising on the playstation store when it came out and became one of vanillaware's highest selling games. It got a shitlload of merch too. Vanilaware isn't doing the port, it's Atlus. Atlus is also porting Shin megami tensei 5 to PS4/PS5 for much the same reasons, because they can due to no more existing limited exclusivity agreement. 13 sentinels sold around half a million units and Dragon's Crown only reached a little under a million and that was after the PS3,Vita, and PS4 port.

Falcom is bringing development in house because thewy're more than likely doing what Spike Chun-soft did and are going to be a global publisher themselves. Sony has been working with Falcom for the full season of the Legend of Heroes TV series. Which they are also directly funding. This is more or less so Falcom can essentially do what larger companies like Square Enix does in the near future.

What drives third parties towards playstation is that they help fund the games, which is something that nintendo doesn't do for the vast majority. As long as sony keeps giving them cash, they'll keep coming. That's happened since the original playstation and they never stopped that, there's zero ideological reasons.

You keep pushing the very dishonest line about the PS5 being a commercial flop, but at this point it's surpassed the lifetime sales of the wii-u globally. Sony would need to have an Olympus sized scandal to be hiding numbers to such a large extent. The PS4 didn;t even resale in Japan until well after the US launch and it released in the US in 2013 and 2014 in Japan. The PS3 only sold 3-4 million in it's first year and that went on to sell 90 million. For the PS5 to be worse than the PS4 this would mean over 10 million systems are being held up in a void and not being turned on. There's scalping but people are paying the high prices because demand would have died out if there was zero demand like the PS3. The PS5 has been out a full year and it's still selling out. That's not what a commercial flop does.

Your entire personification of the whole situation is wrong. When Nintendo decides to step in and directly fund a mirrad of different shit, that would be a more equal situation, but they haven't. They're still pushing their first party games over everything else.

Because due to Sony policies, everyone with talent left, and those that couldn't leave phoned it in for a paycheck.
Actually no, the Senran kagura Games had most of the stuff made by Tamsoft who seemed to do the Lion's share worth of work when it came to programming and stuff like that.

Tamsoft didn't suffer such a loss of talent

Marvelous made a bunch of very retarded decisions and by 2019-2020 they were bought up by a Chiense company. Them spending all that money on the Akiba dub really did fuck them for years.

Moira please learn to shut the fuck up. You are being dogpiled and nothing you say is convincing people you are even barely convincing.

And anybody can look up Media Creates/Famitsu sale charts and see how awful the game software attach rate of the PS5 is in the country of the rising sun (digital sales only get high in Japan if the physical stocks of a title were sell-through at 80%, which no PS5 games have managed so far).

Dude console sales have lived and died by global sales. Literally every single console I've collected for has been this way. Japanese games rely on global sales for everything at this point every single major RPG manufacturer including Bandai has upped their western presence in the last 5 years.

Posting the famitsu shit that the resetera/gematsu trannies post and thinking a console is going to fail that's already projected to be around 20 million sold by quarter 1 of 2022 is really hard to believe. You're leaving so much out of the picture and thinking that everything is Hyper Nationalistic because you have a warped understanding of Japan.

Especially in comparison to how sony had to dig the PS3 out of it's ditch the PS5's sales would have been a godsend to the PS3. Not only does the PS5 have more quality games coming for it than the PS3, it has a way larger install base. When the PS3 launched many people would have loved something like Talkes of Arise to come out for it, it took fucking eons to get the first good rpg for the PS3 let-alone properly functioning ports. Japan studio got a negative rep due to how much underperforming games they put out which was why sony regulated them to a supporting studio years ago. Astro's Playroom is probably the best thing they put out as a stand alone game in years, and they kept the team behind it.

The wii-u was a very big let down and the PS5 is well past it's lifetime sales. You have zeor idea what you're tlaking about by thinking Famitsu sales determine a console's success.

To be fair, 2006-2010 seems like a gold medal compared to 2020-2021, where everyone wants participation bronze medals for games that are released in an unfinished and underdeveloped manner.

Honestly it's been roughly the same. Skyrim came out in 2011 and had fucking eons of patches and the PS3 version didn't work right until the last DLC was released(and even then there are still issues). You had Spore, Dark Spore went defunct making the whole game useless, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, there are loads of games that were released unfinished. People may not remember them and think new games are somehow worse since they're more recent in memory.

It's been like this since the Wii/360/PS3. The Last Story for the wii will still crash if you run too fast in town due to how taxing it was on the system. I mean most people will refer to the shovelware for the wii as being bad and unfinished but outside of Ninjabreadman not a whole lot of people bother to cover stuff like that. Hell I have stuff like Ultimate Shooting Collection which had one of the last dreamcast games on it, the ports are less than optimal.

People are wishing censorship to become this big huge looming entity(every molehill must be a mountain) so they can finally rally together and banish their ideological enemies/feminists/sports games once and for all back into the dark portal. So things can return to normal and they can waste hundreds of dollars on gatcha games while just admiring youtube videos of actual games they'll never play and having serious discussions on fan art they saw on social media.
Oh, just pointing out the gachasmut is enough to get you tossed into the SJW/Feminist/Normie pit. I wouldn't even mind it at all, your taste is your taste and I can understand that part of it. But me not being hypnotized by moe blob tits and not getting invested in it's war doesn't make me a normie, kid.

GOG goes full retard in allowing porn games, this was the result.

You had more people asking for cracks and a list of future porn games they want cracked than actual sales it seems.

Once again it seems, coomers are a very vocal minority in the western hemisphere whomst mostly exist online.

I mean there's a slim chance that GOG could salvage this mess by trying to gain favor with High Influence Individuals™ from The Democratic Republic of The Congo®. But apparently they're busy working on their space program.
