I think they thought that it would keep the subhumans from looting their stores, as if mindless violent mobs think or act on anything but blind rage and retardation.

And they should have. At least when you pay off the Mafia, they don't burn down your business anyway. Fuck BLM. Even Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton shakedowns would end when the business coughed up because they could control their minions.
The problem with BLM and other modern political honey pots is that they have many moving parts and nobody communicates with each other. With earlier events like the Matthew Shepard incident, it was small enough where the Media and Politicians could craft the hate-crime narrative and leave out that his death was a drug deal gone wrong and that he knew his killers.

But with BLM it's too large a scale to properly control and you don't unleash something like that. It's an absolutely vile form of political theatre.

Nobody addresses if a forced upgrade is considered a form of colonialism.
I honestly thought for the life of me that this was just a rejected Saturday Night Live sketch, since I really asked out loud, “What does this have to do with Microsoft and computers?”

And I know I’m not getting old, since the people in this video look like they’re barely hitting their mid-30’s, as far as age goes.

The way they phrase their descriptions is due to blind people. So they're trying to be all encompassing. I don't know if it's changed, but you still can't describe colors to blind people who never had sight in their life, it's for people who once had sight, but lost it.

I mean atleast the stuff they did in the past like this was usually about the product.

I guess blind people around the globe are doing the Lord’s work after being aware of something like this.

This has been the standard for decades at this point. They're not working against each other's own branches in any shape. Take a look at the recent robotech/macross deal for a prime example of how cooperation worked.
I don't think its wise to use Robotech/Macross as an example of how the east and west have been working together for decades. Your prime example of how that cooperation worked is decades of Harmony Gold being absolute cunts. They are widely despised as a company.

Most of Harmony Gold's ire was directed at Hasbro over the years and it was specifically over Transformers. It wasn't Takara or Tomy, but specifically Hasbro.

Well a single Transformer, Jetfire/Skyfire who in the original series toyline was a Macross Valkyrie. The 4 Lawsuits took eons to sort out but Harmony Gold lost the case back in 2014 and could not refile.

I was using it as an example, because it's the most convoluted example out there and in the end it even got resolved. I mean yeah you have stuff like Power Rangers and other IPs that were altered heavily for western audiences and it's what turned them into billion dollar franchises. There's loads of others like Go-Lion/Voltron, how stuff like Batman:The Animated Series and other american cartoons used a ton of well known japanese and korean studios that also put out anime, or hell the recent deals that Netflix has cut with many Japanese studios. And Netflix is way way way up there on the propaganda scale because they've got direct involvement from the Obamas.

If they care so much they should forfeit the campus to the natives. This is more insulting than if they didn't bring it up at all.

The describing visuals thing is indicative of the times. The race and outfits each of them is wearing is completely irrelevant, as radio's existed for well over 100 years and they didn't do that for the hosts. They just want to let even the blind know how they aren't using white people as presenters. I hope this doesn't become a thing, but I'm sure it will.

Genshin Impact still makes almost $4 billion in revenue after the first year of existing. Fortnite and GTA V come in second and third.

Maybe I've gone even more senile, but didn't they have comments open at one point?
Yeah, but much like The White House, they have to find ways to artificially pump numbers to make it look like people liked it. Rather than just call them conspiracy theorists for wondering what personal pronouns have to do with updating software on your Windows laptop.

Who bought Modern Warfare? I thought that game was hated for adding micro transactions to the multiplayer?
Two groups: Parents for their kids who will bitch about how "ME WANT CALLADOOTY" and normiecore "gamers" who don't actually play games, they just play Call of Duty. Occasionally something out of the norm penetrates their consciousness, but it usually is something else that's got a billion dollar marketing push and has adverts on every commercial break.

I welcome political satire, but this article made me giggle as PCGamer was among those who whined about This Is The Police taking a stab at both left and right wing politics. I wonder if this preview would have been as glowing had the player character been introduced as an incestuous child sniffer.

I think a lot of people are ignorant on just how closely Japanese and American companies actively work together on a ton of things. This has been the standard for decades at this point. They're not working against each other's own branches in any shape. Take a look at the recent robotech/macross deal for a prime example of how cooperation worked. And Robotech was pretty much exhibit A to companies never agreeing on things prior to the new arrangement. Mind you stuff like Star Blazers/Yamato never had these issues despite having neighboring circumstances in their localization.

If you were to pull all of American influence out of Japan, the economy would collapse. Both countries are incredibly tied together, and have been since the post World War 2 era. All the major Japanese corporations rely heavily on the American market. Not only that any and all online infrastructure is going to be based with American companies like Google and Amazon.
I would never say that the average Japanese company doesn't care about the western market or listen to their US branches at all, only that you shouldn't take every retarded thing you see in a localization, let alone twitter account as representative of the core company and its creatives' intentions or philosophies. I think it's demonstrably true that shit gets slipped by be it through lack of oversight or language+cultural barrier leading to careless entrustment of how a brand is handled outside of japan.

I think shit happens, mostly because there's not a lack of oversight, but simply due to the statistical appearance of human error. Funimation/Aniplex now have a controlling share in anime localizations and translations across the world. Statistically not everything is going to be perfect especially since you're now having everything go through a small handful of companies. People are going to fuck up from time to time, it's an impossibility that they're not going to screw something up given a long length of time. At most oversight may just lessen an impact, but even smaller places like Discotek can mess something up.

It's just the nature of the profession, I mean hell the dialogue for games like cold steel is longer than most novels. Not every line is expected to be perfect, it just needs to get the job done and convey the proper information.

Hell you can even look at animation errors that occurred in 1980's and 1990's anime since they used cells, stuff would be on the wrong layer and it took weeks to ship stuff from korea and it was too late to change shit.

I find it funny that Marissa Moira is attempting to be the voice of reason in the topic of japanese vidya translation when he tried to defend tooth and nail about Neo:TWEWY's mediocre "translation" in the same thread a few months ago.

Yeah because TWEWY is entirely about Japan aping American urban culture.

You then take the game and bring it back to it's western source where the whole urban youth archetype originated, it's going to look out of place if they acted polite and didn't bother with constant slang and other nightmares that would ruin a direct translation.

The localization had zero effect on the overall gameplay, most of the stuff people pointed out or took issue with was subquest text. Which is going to be what most people normally skip reading.
