Tell me more about what happens when you put sour candy in monster. You sound as though you tried that yourself and are speaking from experience.
Never actually done it. According to what I've seen and read, it either tastes horrible or okay. Definitely depends on the flavor of energy drink you use. The "don't do this" thing is just part of the meme. The usual recipe calls for sour rope candy. This has led to it being called battery acid spaghetti.

It looks pretty cursed.

I was once in a position where the only food items I had that didn't go bad were some flour, salt, and water. I was not in a position to buy more things. So I just mixed those thinking I was just making the world's shittiest saltines. As I then learned, that is not the recipe for salt crackers, that is the recipe for hardtack. Which not only is awful to eat, but is also awful to excrete.
If you're ever in a position like I was at the time: Go fucking forage or something. You'd be surprised how easy it is to find tuber flowers or to nigger a packet of ramen once.

Why would anyone abuse their own body so severely? This looks like you may or may not instantly die after consuming this.

Well done steak is an abomination. At best it is an excuse by children as a fear response. however the challenge of extra chewy meat is no doubt worse than the ickyness of bloody raw tenderness. I hold this belief regardless in the same way I defend and enjoy the most sour fruits, bitter wine, tart cheeses and strong coffee.
