I'd never eat it because I can't fucking stand chorleywood/wonder 'bread', but I can see how this could work. In south asia peanuts are used in a lot of savoury ways, and even in dishes where it is balanced with a sour like tamarind or lime, so I can see how peanut butter and pickled cucumber would work.

Might be worth trying, though it does appear horrifying on the surface

Well I was told the other day that one of my very favorite foods is an atrocity, a horrible abomination that shouldn't exist and isn't fit for human consumption. I obviously disagree, but hey, here it is: Olive Burgers.

There's really no wrong way to do it. You just need to get some green olives, and you put those tasty bastards onto a burger.

It works with normal toppings, melted cheese, mixing the olives in some sort of sauce, or I guess grinding them practically to powder like in the last picture. But that seems a bit odd. Still probably tastes amazing.

Make into that Olive Relish, OR is pretty tasty with hearty meats.

That would probably taste like a muffaletta with ground beef instead of salami and ham.
 
I used to have job as contract for US military. One of things I had to do was go in country and meet with locals of communities for intelligence exchanges. In Middle Eastern cultures, it is very important to provide hospitality. Even to your enemy, you must provide food and shelter. No matter how poor you are, you must serve the best food you have.

Even at the risk of starving your family in the future, you must serve a goat or sheep. This is incredible investment for poor leaders in rural tribal areas.

I am there with very high level American civilians and some military officers. This influential but poor family has a celebration for us and cook some of their goats. It is lost on the higher ups how much of a sacrifice this is and its very important we show our thanks and save face.

The meat, despite serving it this way, is very good. But the higher ups turn their nose up. Even worse, you notice the eyes are cooked as well. These are very important delicacies, saved for the highest guest. It is very insulting to turn it down.

I ended up eating them because higher ups are too chicken shit. I had to convince the hosts that I was much higher standing then we implied for security reasons. I do not think they believe me.

Fucking four start general can order men to go into combat to die, but he whines and moans if he needs to eat eyeball.

That said, the eyeballs were gross. It is like chewing on plastic ring.
 
Gold leaf foods don't look appealing along with being expensive and with no added taste from what I read. At least it makes some salt with the eat the rich crowd but that said the fad of gold foods would make food look unappealing.

I had to google these because I figured it was some Canadian branding or something. Yup, they're Canadian.
Looks like they're like Hot Pockets/empanadas/etc. Yeah those look kinda yucky, like Chef Boyardee filling type stuff.

Amazing you don't have them in America because they seem like just the kind of stuff they'd like over there
