Military coup imminent?

Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces held Coastal Defense trainings amid the rising tension with America. FAR notably used Bandera VI-M “Remulgadas” Anti-Ship Cruise Missile Systems (based on modified Soviet 4K51 “Rubezh” with P-21/22 missiles). Watch until the end for a chuckle.

Truly, the Socialist Vanguard in the western hemisphere is a force to be reckoned with. The imperialist Yanquis will taste the bite of Havana’s most fearsome brigades!

Man, this is sad and pathetic in so many ways. But look at those arms, how the fuck are these poor famished bastards supposed to defend your country?

I was curious about when was the last time they had a North Korea style military parade. Apparently, it was back in 2017, after the death of Fidel Castro.

This isn't the full parade, but how the fuck do you not show off one miserly tank for the father of the revolution.
There's other videos of the parade, but all I see is pretty much just infantry, not any vehicles other than a few jeeps. No tanks, no anti-air missile carriers no planes, nothing. And this is before the pandemic.

I used to think those people who went with a few boats to try and take over the country were a bunch of lunatics, but now I think they might have had a chance.

Why did they even include the clip of the missile backfiring and disintegrating?

Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces conducted military trainings as a part of the combat preparations.

The FAR unit can be seen with a rather notable 9K34 “Strela-3” Portable Surface-To-Air Missile / MANPADS (seemingly a PRAC variant).

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Cuba of sponsoring radical left-wing groups in the Western Hemisphere and hosting intelligence sites for the Chinese and Russians:

Cuba has sponsored terrorism and has supported groups, for example, virtually every left-wing radical violent uh terrorist group in the Western Hemisphere has at some point relied on support from Cuba.

The ELN, the FARC, the FARC dissidents including them, have been involved. We also know, for example, that Cuba continues to host a pretty substantial collection of intelligence sites on behalf of the Chinese and the Russians.

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio asserts that Cuba is controlled by a company, which neglects civil infrastructure, and not a government.

Cuba's controlled by a military holding company named GAESA. And GAESA virtually owns anything in the economy they own the tourist sector, they own mining, they own the gas stations, they own everything.

They generate about 70% of Cuba's GDP is under the control of this military company. And they're sitting on between $14 and $17 billion in assets.

So, you have people literally starving, people literally—like power grid that hasn't been maintained in 10 years, and yet you have this holding military company sitting on these assets. And by the way, not a penny of the money in the military holding company translates into the civil treasury.

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio states that Cuba requires systemic reform to avoid remaining a failed state, but that it may only be possible happen under new leadership.

In order for it [Cuba] not to continue to be a failed state, which poses a threat to the United States, they need systemic and serious reform.

They need to have economic reforms, and the question is, can they possibly reform, given the people who are currently in charge both of GAESA and of their government?

I think the answer is they can't. I really don't believe this system is capable of reform, unless new people take over.

That or Haiti scenario - total societal collapse and constant nigger gangs infighting
Haiti's societal collapse started in 1791 and never got better because the wypipo were all dead or left for good.

I believe that many Babaloos would go back to Cuba if the US stepped in to unfuck a collapsing commie regime. I could genuinely see the island becoming majority American, especially once the olds refresh.

Haiti was a hellscape even before French occupation, hence why the frogs could take part of Hispaniola. It's inherently and irrevocably fucked.

Cuba? I could fix her.

As an American-Cuban, I can confirm that I've fantasized many times about moving to a free Cuba and teaching emaciated children English.

No matter what happens I hope to God they do not let a bajillion refugees into the US. If they topple the regime they better have 24/7 naval patrols armed with deck mounted .50 cals to force the locals to stay on that godforsaken island and fix it themselves instead of just getting gibs in FL.

Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces has recently held new military trainings amid the rising tension with America
All their videos fully live up to the "third world army" look and were 100% filmed by a single dude with a camcorder and Windows Media Maker.
They must have had more than half of the entire defense force out there when filming!

Cuba’s Central Bank announced that international payment card services linked to VISA and Mastercard FINCIMEX, a foreign bank processing company, notified them that their relationship would be terminated.

The decision is directly related to Executive Order 14404 signed by US President Donald Trump on May 1, which Havana described as part of Washington’s pressure campaign against Cuba.

Foreign-currency transactions can still be conducted using cash, domestic prepaid cards such as Clásica and Tropical, and international Mir and UnionPay cards.
