The idea of this project is about as insane as the creators and the content they have produced to pitch it. Cryptoland is a proposed project created with the intentions of being a crypto paradise where the community can surround themselves with other like-minded individuals. The project first gained notoriety over it's beyond cringeworthy 3D animated video, the point of the video was to pitch the concept to potential investors. The video comes off as either a comedical satire of the crypto enthusiast community or a really out of touch and over the top pitch that lacks self awareness.

To be honest you could skip reading the first paragraph and let the video do its magic.

When I first watched the video, the first sentence was a red flag, I thought he said crypto kiddies.. but it was Crypto kitties.
Okay so why would is this worth bringing up? Because an island for people with a crush for kiddies isn't relatively a new idea.

I'm almost certain that this is some sort of troll. Everything in the video is too on the nose for it to be made unintentionally.

Might be worth keeping tabs of; this shit may be an false flag, but it's still an source of drama.

Besides, this will be an honeypot for those cryptofags.
 
This is like Fyre Festival, but with the prefix "crypto" added to everything. I pray that this doesn't get killed in the crib, since cryptobro freak-outs are choice cuts of comedy.

Maybe it's for the same reason Nigerian scammers say they're from Nigeria. Cryptoland wants only the most smoothbrained bottom of the barrel cryptobros because they're much easier to scam.

I got to see their pitch 'video' and I'm genuinely baffled by this crap. I wouldn't call any of the CG work ground breaking but its advanced enough that someone put real time, effort, and man hours into pulling it together. Yet that's also still due to them stealing at least one model if not potentially more for the damned thing!

They could've put that cash to use getting better endorsements with far less time spent. I mean for fuck's sake they had a song and dance along with a B plot for a 'romance'.

Yet somehow someone's already bought a plot, truly the nouveau riche are easily parted with their e-shekels.

I think it's one of their founders, so more like given than bought.

Here's an interesting thought though, I went to their website and they have 60 plots available for 319 each. There's no difference in price for plots based on location and proximity which is weird, but if you do the math on it 319*60= 19140 and right now with the ETH to USD conversion rate that's about 61.6 million USD. I'm not sure what they plan to build with that, but that can't be anywhere near enough to actual make this even remotely functional. Am I just missing something and this is just digital land and not the physical thing or something?
