Merry Christmas!

This game explores a "Christmas"- themed apocalyptic event in a Russian or Eastern European city. You play as NPC, the Traveler, with a long line to follow, similar to E33. Horror with a mix of story, drama, and the game has been fun and exciting for a few hours in. Enemies can merge with dead enemies, creating this interrupt dynamic in combat. I'm still playing the game, but I feel like it's setting up an interesting story that I hope is told in a different genre, if that makes sense. Like a surival horror action game that turns into a classic RPG game with introduced characters.

Cronos is a sick game. it's not really Dead Space, although the gameplay is similar on the surface. shame about the UE5 performance issues, I really wish Epic would fix their fucking engine, but other than that, I really enjoyed it. good atmosphere, story, and combat.

the story is way more interesting than it lets on, Dead Space is all lore and buildup to nowhere by comparison, since that franchise built up to a reveal that was so big that it can't possibly be overcome by a man stomping around space stations.

I know the game was made for consoles but have they added a FOV slider on PC yet?

I watched some gameplay of it and it looked... okay. Definitely didn't hold up against Dead Space, but it seemed better than the Dead Space knockoff they put out last year, for whatever that's worth.

At least in Dead Space every weapon feels different, here it's like the devs went out of their way to make the gunplay feel horrible and boring.

Yeah, that was my feeling from watching the playthrough, combat felt just kinda tedious. Stomping around as Isaac wasn't exactly a fast action spectacle either as they were clearly going for the Resident Evil tank combat vibe, but you were at least presented with interesting options for his weapons and how they interacted with the weak points on the necromorphs.
