The bodies were washed by the water in the ditch overnight. Human blood was found on Damien's necklace and Jessie's shirt, so there was DNA. As for "unknown" DNA, the only unknown DNA of any importance was the DNA found on Stevie's genitals. However the autopsy photo of the area shows that whoever is taking the photo is not wearing gloves when handling that exact location and is contamination DNA unrelated to the crime. Other than that there was a hair fragment recovered from the shoe lace that was used to bind Michael Moore that the defense later tried to allege belonged to Stevie's step-dad, which even if it was his hair didn't matter, as nothing at the scene connected him to the crime. There were numerous hairs that were believed to belong to family members recovered from the bodies and on clothing. The hair alleged to belong to Terry Hobbs matched a huge percentage of the population on top of it, so it can't even be said to be his. There was also a hair recovered at a later date from a tree stump that could have come from anyone and had no confirmed connection to the crime, that the defense at one point claimed belonged to David Jacoby, an alibi witness for Terry Hobbs. Again this hair was also a match for a large portion of the population, and didn't prove anything. Then there was also a hair from a black person found on the sheet used to transport the bodies. However photos of the crime scene show black men working the crime scene with the police sandbagging the ditch to search for evidence. Which means they could of left the hair. What is the explanation for the lack of any DNA evidence linking any of them to all the physical items/evidence found, and apparent unknown male DNA being found on some of the evidence?
