Video shows bus driver, passenger fighting moments before deadly crash in China
At least 13 people have been killed after the bus collided with an oncoming car before smashing through roadside barriers and flying off a bridge

A fight between a driver and a passenger who had missed her stop caused the bus to plunge off a high bridge into China's Yangtze River, police said Friday.

An eight-second surveillance video released by Chongqing city police shows the two arguing and grappling with each other in the moments before the bus suddenly veered across oncoming traffic and off the bridge Sunday morning.


A statement from Wanzhou district police said the 48-year-old female passenger asked the driver to pull over after she missed her stop, but he didn't. She walked up to the driver's seat and scolded him.

The driver turned his head back several times arguing. As the argument escalated, the statement said, the woman hit the driver on the head with her cellphone.

The driver took his right arm off the steering wheel and fought back. He grabbed her arm when she attacked him again, then hastily steered to the left, sending the bus out of control.

The Chongqing police also released dash cam video from a nearby car showing the bus colliding with an oncoming vehicle before smashing through a guardrail and falling into the Yangtze, a major river in southwestern China.

The Wanzhou police statement said the behavior of the driver and the passenger seriously endangered public safety and violated the law.

Rescuers lifted the wreck of the bus from the river Wednesday night. Thirteen bodies have been found and two remain missing, the official Xinhua News Agency said.

Why did he crank that left turn? If you watch the on board footage, it doesn't look like an accident. He swipes her arm away, puts both hands on the wheel, looks at the road, then cranks it clean into the water without any real effort to correct course. This might be a suicide.

He drove a bus in a city of 400,000,000 people who all look the same. That was probably the fifth person who attacked him that day.

That is really weird. At first glance it looks like he overcorrected but he doesn't. He just cranks hard left, holds it and doesn't try fix right. Maybe he was hoping the safety rail would stop the bus so he could say the woman distracted him and made him crash? Try get her a worse punishment than just assault? He should have known better than anyone not to trust Chinese engineering...
 
Asian, especially Korean and Chinese, women turn into maniacs when they reach menopause. Until then they keep their insanity under wraps by beating the shit out of their kids in the privacy of their homes. Once that menstrual cycle stops no one is safe. Any Asian will back up what I say with a thousand yard stare as flaskbacks of daily beatings from their childhood flashes before their eyes.
