Nearly two years after separating from Doug Hutchinson, Courtney Stodden has taken to Instagram to confirm their divorce is final, accusing her ex-husband of taking advantage of her in her youth.

“It’s March 3rd, 2020 — today I am officially divorced from actor Doug Hutchison. It’s an emotional day for me,” Stodden begins, alongside a photo of the couple in happier times. “God only knows how he’s feeling, but I can tell you that it’s for the better. I look back at this picture and feel absolutely taken advantage of.” You’ll remember — or perhaps, blissfully, you won’t — that the “Green Mile” actor married the blonde bombshell when she was just 16 years old.

“I’ve been scared to even speak up about feeling groomed or being verbally abused during the almost 10-year marriage,” Stodden writes, “because I was a child and he was 50 [sic] when we married.

“But I’m a woman now and it’s time for me to put my big girl pants on and speak on this matter.”

The 25-year-old reality star goes on to say that she “felt completely trapped, manipulated and at times abandoned by adults.” Stodden and mom/former manager Krista Keller also had a tumultuous relationship, which played itself out on Lifetime’s “Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition.”

“Growing up in such an environment,” Stodden continues, “became a lonely and dark place. Stay tuned for my book.”

Stodden then went on to address Hutchison directly, writing, “I’ll always love you; yet I’ll always be angry. You’ve left me — a child woman, feeling belittled and confused. These things I shall overcome. I wish you well. But please don’t ever do this to another minor again. It’s not right … even if the parent signs off. Wait a respectable amount of time before marrying. Children aren’t on your level. I’ll always love you regardless. Be better. As shall I.”

With Keller’s permission, Stodden married 51-year-old Hutchinson in 2011. Keller has since stated that she regrets allowing her teenage daughter to tie the knot, telling RadarOnline in 2015 that, if she “had to do it all over again,” she would not sign the papers for their wedding.

What’s bullshit is that while this effectively ruined Hutchison’s career, other celebrities have done the same shit and people just don’t care.

For example, Paul Walker had a thing for underage girls, having dated at least two minors while in his late 20’s to 30’s. Yet he’s still one of those dead celebrities whom people always say have “gone too soon” or whatever. That’s not to say that Hutchison is any better, but it just makes me mad that they dragged him through the mud (rightfully so), but not Walker because he was your quintessential Hollywood heartthrob.

Obviously, nothing more than another cry for attention. Everything else she's done has ultimately failed: marriage to the much older actor, fake pregnancy/miscarriage, sexy pictures, boob job, the "singing career," shots at reality TV. This is just her latest attempt to take it up a notch and get press coverage.

Even this KF thread has never gotten much traction.

Because she's competing with deranged attention whores all over the globe and frankly can't compete. Even her abuse is a standard by-the-numbers affair.

Anyway, they are far too late to the Oppression Olympics game to gain any real traction from it. Imo she should have stuck with the weird doll thing and milked that for all it's worth.

speak for yourself, nigga. I was doing no such thing. This thread is 5 years old and has 4 pages, few people around here found her situation very funny at all.

Also, chrissy teigen doesn't matter. Live by the cancel culture, die by the cancel culture.

I am amazed that celebrities were telling stodden to kill herself and she kept it quiet all this time. I wonder if her ex husband knew or told her to shut up about it or what. None of the articles about this ask why she waited so long to say something. Usually when people wait a long time to accuse others there is a whole bunch of speculation about it being a lie, but in this case we know its true for sure (teigen admitted it, there are DMs as proof) so I would be interested in knowing.
 
Reading her Wikipedia page, you can see why the they/them does not compute:

They have two sisters, Ashley and Brittany, who were 9 and 11 at the time of their birth. Stodden describes their childhood as "beautiful and fun," stating that they were "extremely spoiled, in a good way." From a very young age, their passion has been singing and writing their own music.

I do feel like Courtney was taken advantage of by predatory adults at a young age. No one deserves that.

But I don’t buy this they/them bullshit. Bitch, you look like a blowup doll. You’re not confused about your gender identity. You’re not androgynous. You’re a cluster B nightmare that relied on adults giving you attention for years — and now that attention has dried up.
