Cooking is too expensive

It's riduclous how expensive everything got in the last couple of years. I'm a poorfag and used to be big time into cooking (see my posts in the "What have you cooked recently?" thread) because not only did i have had fun doing it, it was always cheaper than buying pre-made slop. That has significantly changed. Can't even say "Alright, i use less meat, more veggies to save money today" anymore because pretty much everything is expensive now, except, for some reason, pre-made zogslop. Sure, it got more expensive than before but nowhere near meat and fresh produce.
I spend much less time cooking ever since, to the point that even my knife skills started to suffer. It sucks.

Get long term 5 gallon storage bins/buckets (buy airtight dog food containers, they are the same as any air tight food bin on the market but half the price at least). Then buy stuff that lasts in bulk. Typically 5 gallon bins can handle about 25 pounds of flour, sugar, rice, etc.

If your cooked food can last a week in the fridge or freezer, cook all your meals for the week in one day then ration them out in the fridge/freezer for that week. Example, I will typically make my dough balls for the week in one day and leave them in the fridge to proof. Then I will bake them for whatever meal I have planned on the given day of the week.

Doing it this way keeps costs down due to buying and storing in bulk, makes it easier to stick with your weekly meal plan without deviating by taking the hassle out of cooking every day, and you will be incentivized to only buy the necessities on your weekly/bi-weekly grocery trip.

I have saved thousands of dollars doing this method for a few years and I have also lost a lot of weight because it pairs so well with dieting plans.
