Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

Typical tranny gloating on any social media platform they have for sympathy and likes

It's just a wojak variant lmao it can be used for pretty much whatever the person using it intends within that specific personality theme of parodying the "soyboy" stereotype.I don't think anyone thought otherwise, it was only comparing the phrase to the memes parodying the personality.
Almost all of them are actually from literal photographs.

Mothers opening packs for their adult children (and recording it for reddit) seems normal in this community.

"Screen Rant" considered this newsworthy, and ran an article about how wholesome and chungus the post is.

I think it’s kind of cute that a mom would do this for her kid, but not if it’s an adult child, and either way posting about it on social media is stupid as hell.

This would have been heartwarming in the first place if it was for actual children and not for immature man/woman-babies who have to post this level of cringe.

The irony of telling us we're "fascists" in the first place while their kind force us to accept their faggotry. These freaks don't know how to insult people other than using "-ists."

Its one thing to soy over something like this, its another to post it on reddit for karma.

Man reacts to his mom opening cards. Reddit reacts to man’s reaction to his mom opening cards. Kiwi farms reacts to Reddit’s reaction to man’s reaction to his mom opening cards. I read these posts to my boyfriend, who does not react. Am I overreacting?

I’ll see myself out.

1. asking price is not worth, just because someone wants 2k dollars doesn't mean someone is paying 2k dollars
inb4 'those are bids' they may very well be fake to drive the price up
2. it DOES look like a charizard, i won't lie...
Goldin vets its bidders during registration. It's the gold standard of sports card platforms that regularly does million dollar deals. Here's a look at what is on their site right now.

The culture that has been cultivated of "Buy $300 worth of junk because I'm saving $20 on it" will always puzzle me. The general public are well trained consooming dogs.

the idea of buying more of something because you're saving money makes sense ONLY if it's something you were already going to buy
"i wanted this game and now it's on sale with another game i wanted, lucky for me!"
"i'm gonna use rice anyway and they're selling 5 bags for the price of 4, i can store those!"
it makes absolutely no sense if it's not something you were going to buy or wanted anyway, because then you're not 'saving' money on a potential purchase you were gonna make
you just got sucked into a new purchase that was never even being considered

I wasn't sure if this was the right thread for this, but I saw a pretty funny example of a "consoomer" product branding recently, so I'm gonna post it anyway.

A friend of mine was looking for a PC hardware upgrade and came across Zotac, a company that seems to focus mostly on prebuilt PCs. Yes, building a PC would be cheaper, but that's not the point of this story. Anyway, we found one with decent specs priced at $1,300. Then we discovered that this PC also had a limited-edition version themed around Spider-Man. I want to emphasize that aside from the Spider-Man branding, there is literally no difference in the hardware, it’s identical to the $1,300 model and costs the exact same.

A couple of weeks passed, and my friend noticed that the Spider-Man PC was on sale at Woot for $800, brand new and sealed in the box. So he decided to buy it. Long story short, the Spider-Man branding on it isn't even that bad. It came with a sticker sheet (which you can simply choose not to use) and a small decorative plate on the graphics card (which you can just take off). That's it. The PC was otherwise identitcal to their "normal" model.

I guess the moral of the story is this: if you put a Spider-Man logo on the box of your PC, it devalues it by $500.

There is some brand of "manly" soap called Dr. Squatch and the people who seem to use it are obsessed with it and will collect the soap and other products. I assume they arent actually using it because they will have hundreds of bars of different scents and keep limited edition scents just to have them.

They also do this weird scents and collabs with major brands that redditors love so I assume that must have at least something to do with it. I saw some of the scents they posted and thought it was some kind of joke edit thing they had going but it is apparently real, I can't imagine wanting to smell like hot cheetos unless you are a fat mexican woman.

flaming hot soap is way past retarded, its the kind of gimmick meme product made just to post on reddit while soyfacing to show how much of a hip ironic memelord you are then forget about it completely.

I don't know when it happened but Funko went "How do we leech even more money????????" And decided on just reprinting all their pops but smaller. Even made smaller displays specifically for your new small pops. I don't know if I've seen a more consoomer move made by a toy company before. It actually sickens me. Funkos already were the poster boy for consooming!

EDIT: As an aside on Pops, nothing encapsulates the last decade of existence more than this monstrosity that came in to work. What an appropriate totem.
