Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

most people are under the belief that you cant get addicted to cannabis

smoking weed the same way one would drink alcohol, every once in a while on a nice relaxing night in or at a party with friends, is completely harmless
but the average smoker does it daily and believes theyre not addicted

that, combined with the fact that being fucked up daily makes you not desire to do, create, or engage with anything, makes it pretty clear why their personality settles 100% on weed
its ALL they ever busy themselves with
"I may have blown $3,000 on grass in the past year but I'm not, like, addicted man"
I've seen so many dumbasses make this exact argument that I'd rather spent time with gutter-dwelling alcoholics for their honesty.

I am really not sure where to put this but recently Nintendo settled a lawsuit against Yuzu emulator. Someone more experienced in lawspeak than me can probably has more details on it.
Obviously fanboys gonna fanboy *sigh*

The same Nintoddlers when Nintendo deletes a digital only tittle from the online store after a limited time release.

There are 2 things I haven't seen talked about in regards to consumer culture in general but especially here.

1: Tattoos, I see so many people spending so much money then tattoos and it is so dumb, I would argue spending your money on funko pops is better, at least with those if you grow up and decide you don't want them. You can just sell them or give them to someone else, granted you won't make all your money back but still. With tattoos if grow out of them you have to pay to get rid of them. I hear of people now who get tattoos removed so they have room for new tattoos. I am not judging everyone who has tattoos obviously, it's cool and all if you only have a few but those niggas with huge sleeves of them just covering their body. They kind of lose their meaning when you have so many of them and it just looks awful. Among gen Z you are actually a minority if you don't have tattoos. It's one of those "things broke people always have money for"

2: People who consoom experiences rather then products. In the age of social media this is more common now then ever.

I also see this idea that rich people don't consoom, that is a fucking lie. I knew a kid who in his 20s had his die dad, he inherited like 12 million dollars. At one point he owned 32 cars, basically none of them ran because he was always buying cheap luxury cars. He know owns 9 cars which is better but still. He is still rich, he is richer now then ever.

Where does the metal community fall in consumerism? A battle jacket is basically a jacket covered in logos. I have one myself but I can't help but think about that sometimes. A lot of metal merch is downright silly. You've got generic lazy shit where it's just the logo slapped onto something like a beer koozie, there are action figures, instruments, and even condoms and dildos.
a patch jacket is only cool if you compile it yourself
buying it premade is lame and gay

these seem like jokes, not people earnestly praising nintendo for this

I thought so too at first, but their accounts aren't new and 2/3 accounts do revolve around or have been posting frequently about nintendo for at least 1-2 years.
Feel free to check and :disagree:me in case I'm wrong

even if theyre actually Nintendo fans they could absolutely be being ironic when they jokingly praise Nintendo like some kinda god
I don't think so. I used to watch CSGO a lot a few years back. And the Brazilian fans are super fucking mentally damaged. Wouldn't surprise me if there are handicapped Nintendo fans in South America in masses. They do like their anime down there. And they wanted to shank the Brazilian and the German soccer national teams that one time.

I'm genuinely surprised Yuzu lasted this long emulating a console that's still on-going. I know I'm going to sound like a retard but, aren't most emulators usually created long after the original console's end-of-life?

I think people with tattoos should have a number tattooed on them so they can be identified when we put them all into camps
I'll ask my tattooist about this when I see him in a couple weeks thanks for the tip.
I got 3 8hour sessions booked for a full sleeve over the next few months, hopefully the camp is cool.

the development of PCSX2 started back in 2002, when the PS2 was still considered a "new" console

Any low end PC can still fly circles around Nintendo consoles. Having fhe most underpowered hardware bit them on the ass there.

For people who love to damage control billion-dollar corporations and ESGs. Woke cunts don't buy toys and merchandise of woke shows.
Somewhat related but the Walmart clearance section can be a good finger-on-pulse to see what stupid shit being forced down our throats isn't taking. The worst of the ecoshit dies there. Weird off-putting minimalist aesthetic school or office supplies. Kids are pretty blunt especially, so the toy clearance section being loaded with the ugly diversity characters' merch is funny. Kids like animals, big machinery, buff chad action guys, and pretty princesses and mermaids. Sorry!!!

Ok so I have a consoooomer base that I haven't seen mentioned here, Taco Bell fans. I know this sounds random but Taco Bell fans are surprisingly devoted to Taco Bell, like more devoted then anyone should ever be to a restaurant. Whenever people talk about fast food no one ever seems to mention Taco Bell even though it has the highest average per store earnings of any fast food place in the US. I would argue Taco Bell has the biggest fan base, other restaurants have people who eat their but most people are embarrassed to admit they like any other fast food restaurant, meanwhile Taco Bell fans just love Taco Bell.

I do have a bit of proof for this, so reddit is kind of consoomer central as we all know. Check this out

Here is what you get if you look up Taco Bell, I think you see my point. With the other restaurants the top post results were stories that were tangentially related to the restaurant chain and the subreddits for these restaurants on the side were tiny. With Taco Bell, the top post results are post that are at best enthusiastic and at worst kind of obsessed with the restaurant and just look at the subreddits on the side. The Taco Bell subreddit has 156 thousand members, none of the other restaurant subs came close, and there is another fan sub that is also bigger then a lot of the other chains' main subs.

So why do you think Taco Bell has such slavish fans ?
