Wow, you're obviously quite the super fan! Do you think that Anthony Hopkins was an effective choice as Hannibal Lecter?
Let's put it this way, Dude: if Hopkins didn't play Lecter, he wouldn't be the iconic magnificent bastard he is today. I enjoyed Red Dragon, but I felt that Petersen's portrayal of Graham in Michael Mann's Manhunter was better than Norton's version.

Have you seen NBC's Hannibal TV series? What do you think of Mads Mikkelsen's performance?

I don't really watch much television, other than the news. For the past several weeks, I've been hanging out in my makeshift office, watching movies and getting some writing done whenever the opportunity arises. I've heard the series has been getting awesome reviews. I may have to get the previous seasons on DVD/Blu-Ray and binge watch them to give you all a good assessment.

The series was quite good. I would also like to recommend Breaking Bad; it's a TV series as well, but it's the TV equivalent of the Great American Novel. You should give TV a chance, there are a lot of long-form television shows now that are superior to many films.

Geez, I pop my head out of the gutter to let folks know here how I'm doing, and all of a sudden, I'm getting shit on in the Gloria Tesch thread.

@King n Yellow : I have no intention of dating a woman like Gloria. It'd be a waste of time.

Maybe you should have tried to word your comment in a way that didn't sound like "I'd totally stalk Gloria Tesch, she's really hot."

we aren't shitting on you kek
you tell us you think she's attractive. cool. no one asked. you give us random bits of your autistic desires and thought process and then get mad when we laugh at you.

mice stop going to the side of the cage with electric shocks after a couple times. hell, most animals won't return to a place that's hurt them

how does it feel to have less self preservation and intelligence than a centipede?

Wow, so you're saying that Silence of the Lambs was responsible for Anthony Hopkins' breakthrough to a global audience? What an interesting theory.

Have you enjoyed many other Anthony Hopkins films?
Worse. I think he's crediting Anthony Hopkins for Hannibal Lecter's popularity.

Yeah, I've pretty much given up on WrongPlanet. I hardly post there anymore. By the way, @Smutley , I got two new pairs of glasses and I passed my history class with an A.

DUDE! Great work on the history grade! I agree with @Dudeofteenage - getting confirmation that you can accomplish something is a great feeling. I hope you try and remember that when school gets a little tough in the future. It's like the essays you used to worry about even though you'd get great grades on them. You're not a dunce, you just have a lot of anxiety that can make rational thought challening.

No disrespect to Sir Anthony Hopkins, but I think I'd take Brian Cox. He was just so apathetic and unconcerned it was delightful.

edit: and hey, question - I only caught the tail end because mods torched that user, but is /cow/ really impersonating you?

You guys are really mocking me for saying that she's attractive? People with good looks aren't always people of great intelligence or character. Yes, she's kind of hot looking, but she's a grade-A lolcow. I was trying to contribute to the discussion in some way, shape, or form, and instead, you interpret whatever you want to see in my post and use it against me.

Personally, I was more disturbed by the way you juxtaposed it with a comment about her stalker. While you didn't actually say you found her stalking to be understandable, you implied it through your word choice. Understanding the importance of word choice is an important skill for a writer.

That's why people make fun of you. If you don't want people to make fun of you, you should work on fixing that.
