I believe he has said both on Wrong Planet and here on the Farms he's getting a "teaching degree" in English. Here's the programs of study, and a course listing for Art, Humanities, & Social Sciences Transfer Block which gives students an Associates or a way to transfer to a 4-year university. He will, if I'm reading this right, have to take up to Elementary Calculus.
When I last spoke to him about his school, he seemed to still be undeclared, which is not an uncommon thing for incoming freshmen. But yeah, it looks as if he needs at least two maths if he's going for Elementary Education, or three if you count a zero-credit remedial. Which is almost exactly what I've got, to be honest; you'd be amazed how little math they'll let us liberal arts folks skid by with.
ETA: Like a lot of lib art students, I made the mistake of putting off my math classes until the last minute, until I finally ended up taking them in my last year, at the same time I was taking two really writing-intensive English classes, one of them grad-level. Huge mistake. Probably the only thing Connor's doing right here is knocking his maths out early, especially if it's not his strongest subject.
