After all the revelations about Jace/Jan, the Chris stuff, the net neutrality vote, the squirrel in my attic, etc etc, it's nice to come back here and see after 200+ pages we are still repeating the exact same cycle. Adds some stability to the whole shebang.

Even if that were the case--and, as has been proven time and time again, once content dries up, threads follow suit--that's still not any kind of logical reason to keep coming here. You have to exercise an iota of willpower for once and actually just stay away, because no one is going to delete your account for you. The best you can hope for is that this thread withers and dies if you just stop coming here and stop giving it fuel with chimpouts and whining on other sites.

The most amazing, and ironic thing about this entire thread is Connor's obtuse resistance to any input on his chosen field while people have carpet-bombed him with helpful advice, has helped so many other people improve their writing skills.

As they say, if you can't be a good example, you're at least a horrible warning.

I am very suspicious it's because his parents have grounded him from the computer due to something, and he is able to sneak on to it very late at night sometimes. If I was a betting man, I'd say all his talk about his focus on math class is because his poor showing in school is the cause of a theoretical computer restriction.

There's no basis behind this, mind. But he's said before they've grounded him and as a 21 year old he still has 10pm bedtime on school nights.

Not 100% sure but we all know he watches this thread like a hawk as he's become obsessed with its existence. Once he sees someone speaks up in some fashion in a matter that Connor might think is "for" his benefit he comes in guns blazing. But then he comes back to try to make amends after thinking about what he just said to everyone, and prove that he's changed.

With last night's attitude he might even be back tonight to continue his cycle, only to faulter because it's too hard to play with others and then flip out once again.

Soon enough we're going to see "Just ban me already!!!!" since it's almost time for that part of the Connor clock.

I was you at one point. Bitter ,alone and fermenting in a room. On the outside I was happy to be around people who hated me because they at least talked to me. This is the same for you i think. You cry, demand pity and then throw whatever kindness we give you back at us. The thread milks you for lulz and the process repeats but you get something every time. Attention from people. Even its negative attention its something. I see the desperation. You need this attention because you simply don't respect yourself enough. In your head we validate your existence Connor. You must know that on some level because you keep coming back.

I'm saying all of this without an ounce of malice towards you- You need to leave. Stop engaging with the farms permanently and go for a long walk*. Keep walking until you find what you need, just stop looking for it here. Don't think this post gives you cover either. Your lack of perspective could probably be connected to the 'tism but also stems from your childish ignorance. Many people cope with difficulties worse by a factor of 1000. If they can climb mount Everest you can climb a steep hill.

The best part about his plagiarism is that it doesn't even require ferreting out. We can usually call BS on his plots just from memory.

I've never even READ Black Sunday. I just remembered the plot from reading about Harris.

For that matter, you're not likely to find someone who knows less about anime than I do, and I still spotted references to Neon Genesis Evangeleon, a series I only know exists from second- and third-hand information. As for the people here who like anime and who have actually watched NGE...

Ooh! I kind of want to join (if you don't mind, of course!). My writing isn't that great, but that exercise looks like a lot of fun! :)

As for Connor... I know that it's probably useless to say this (everyone has said this in much better ways than I could), but despite all of this a part of me still thinks that you have a chance to improve yourself and your life. You're only 20 - you still have your whole life ahead of you. You may have dug too deep on these forums, but you can still leave and not have random people outside of these forums look at you and think "What the Hell is wrong with this kid?". You can still make a life for yourself outside of these forums. It's not too late. You're not Chris-Chan, you still have time. But if you waste that time, you're going to end up like him.

I probably wasted my time adding this, but I felt like I should while I still can (while there's still time for you, Connor).
