I read all of that and I'm honestly surprised WP still actually tolerates Conner/hasn't banned him yet. He literally is telling people "fuck you" and "fuck off" for giving him the advice he refuses to hear (rather than sympathy and encouragement with his "goals") and a mod or admin doesn't even publicly tell him off for it.

Also I kind of felt like banging my head against the wall when I read the part where Connor finds out they're polar opposites in personality and completely incompatible and still wants to fuck her have a meaningful relationship with her. But Connor isn't worth it.

  • Acknowledges that he's stalking and frightening her but continues to do so
  • Declares his hatred for all women
  • Ends by stating his intent to "find a nice girl, treat her nice... and then psychologically break her. She'd deserve it."
This could be the subject of a true crime documentary or a Lifetime movie. Holy fuck, Connor. Holy. Fuck.

You summarized this SO WELL. D: I just finsihed reading through it and was really disturbed. I though Connor was a slightly odd guy with some particular obsessions (Molly Ringwald, adoption)... But holy shit that info dump Smutley did showed a new side for me.

He's really scummy when it comes to his views on women. wow. This is full loveshy territory now.
 
I'm kind of torn here, because there are two different ways this can go.
  1. Connor is just an edge lord with a really bad temper. When he gets riled up about something he tries to act like a badass bad guy and say awful things for attention before cooling down and realizing he made a big ass of himself (see all the times he's apologized and tried to make amends)
  2. Connor legit believes the things he says, but it's only when he's upset that it comes out. He has self-admitted problems with impulse control and his temper, so he says what he really believes until he's able to get himself in check (see the fact he's been saying the same things on a dozen different websites for over five years)
I want to believe the first one, but the consistency of his views and repeated actions make it really difficult to.

I dunno, I kinda see this as your fault. No a-log, but you really did piss off the nicest of us (Silentprincess and all that). Then, you dissed her preference of adopting instead of having kids the usual way. So, honestly, I think that you really are, in fact, a whiny fat faggot.
 
@Connor I'm really not sure how you can be so vehemently anti-adoption anyway, to be honest. I've seen a few of the theories floating around and they seem plausible, but honestly why wouldn't you want to adopt a kid? Like, under what circumstances would you not want to take a kid out of the incredibly awful hell that is foster care* and take care of them yourself, giving them stability and opening your heart to another human being? I personally would like to have kids that share my genetic material but I'd also like to adopt some, and that's a bottom line thing for me: if you're not about adoption then that's kind of a big red flag to me.

My little brother was adopted and he rules, he's way better than me at things and my drive to compete compels me to be better than him and thus, a better person overall. Even if I never make it to the lofty heights he's at I'll damn sure make the attempt, and that's better than what you're doing right now, which is assuming you'll fail before you begin (which may or may not be true) and then falsely concluding that failure is bad (which is 100% not true)...How can you define your limits if you don't know what they are? Fail a lot in life and you'll find out exactly what you're capable of, and then you'll discover that you have the ability to break those limits and become better at things.

*Everyone I've ever known who's been in foster care has told me all kinds of horror stories about it. Group home situations where abuse is rampant, disinterested staff and overloaded case workers...I mean it's preferable to being in an abusive family situation, I guess, but there's a lot of room for improvement. Even if it's not all doom and gloom, I'm certain kids would much rather be with families than without.

So is @Connor still all "Fuck adoption cause I'm insecure" or is he apologizing for that shit? More importantly any chance his apologies are legit?
 
When you get down to it, the only difference between @Connor and people like @Holden is Connor wants our approval so he's willing to tell us what we want to hear. Like I said before, he's a professional teller-of-people-what-they-want-to-hear. That's why he's always soooo remorseful about everything right up until the point where he does it all over again.

I'd like to believe in your recent "change of heart" Connor, I really would, but I'm not that stupid.

One thing that I find fascinating about Connor's posts is his combination of extreme edginess and nihilism mixed with a surprising amount of moralistic thoughts. It comes through really strongly in Redesigning Eva: Klaus is a violent psychopath while Eva is morally offended and upset because she once saw a drug dealer or something -- and I think both of those characters are to some extent Connor. It's like he can't make up his mind whether the problem is that he's dark and crazy while society is bland and ordinary, or vice-versa. He manages to be extremely cynical and extremely naive at the same time.

He does this twice. Like instead of writing a succinct summary of his opinions, he expects everyone else to do the work for him, and thinks that they would care enough to actually do it. And he knows that he's sperged about these things enough that there are enough points of reference, but he doesn't realize that it's sperging.

I felt kinda bad for Connor, but he either took the "You were adopted" really badly. Apparently, there really are adoptees that snap and kill their parents or others but I don't think Connor is one of them, just an immature kid venting on forums. Then again, the stalking story (and from the sounds of it, he still blames her) is another bad mark.
