I had never heard of the word "tree" as a verb.

#766. As a purple first girlie, this one had me frustrated all day. I spotted the red herring, but I was trying so hard to not put blue first lol.

Yeah, it's because some animals (like, squirrels) will run up a tree to escape from whatever is chasing it.

Squirrels, however, can jump to another tree to *really* escape, so some better examples might be raccoons, opossums, and (some) bears.
