Remember Conker's Bad Fur Day?

I only remember wanting to play it when it came out but I was only 9 at the time*sigh*

And it's highly unlikely that it will ever get a Virtual Console release any time soon being that Nintendo nearly refused to even have it released on N64 in the first place(:_(

Emulators are your friend. Multiplayer with your friends was the best part about that game.

I only ever played the original Xbox port.

I like Conker a great deal. Mostly because in the context of it's prequel game it is in this subgenre that I really like which is "where do we go now?". More or less a story where the character's life falls to shit after he saves the world.

Essentially the original GB Conker game had him save the world and so forth. In Bad Fur Day however Conker is portrayed as much older and he has become an alcoholic. And the first objective you get in the game is just to go back home so you can fuck your slutty girlfriend. It's an interesting departure from most 3D platformers in terms of theme. However mechanically I wouldn't say it's one of the better 3D platformers as in terms of gameplay it wasn't as tight in it's controls as stuff like Mario 64 or Spyro.

It goes far beyond that. It's highly, highly unlikely that any Rareware games will be re-released in their original states due to the conflicting rights between Rare and Microsoft.

Microsoft owns Rare, the company that made games like Banjo, Conker, Goldeneye etc. They tried to get Goldeneye re-released but they had a huge problem doing it because Nintendo still partially owned the rights to the original N64 game. It was why the game had to be remade entirely. I highly doubt Microsoft would allow Conker on Nintendo systems after that. Or that Nintendo would allow the original N64 games re-released on other consoles. This was likely also why Conker's Bad Fur Day had to be remade entirely for the original Xbox port as Live and Reloaded. It's significantly more likely that Microsoft would re-release Conker's remake on Xbox One considering Nintendo likely doesn't have any rights over it.

Also MS recently announced a shitty semi-sequel
Everyone's expecting another Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts.

I remember playing the game back in third grade when it came out. Never beaten it until I was in middle school. I honestly found it to be overrated when I got older though that would be more due to my terrible skill at the game. Still, it is something that is memorable considering its nature and the console it was released on. One other thing to remember is this:

I'm excited to hear that there's a sequel in the works. I've been wondering if a game like Conker could get made in today's SJW infested moralist environment.

Also, when I first played the game way back when, I didn't know that "Conker" was the British term for Horse Chestnuts, which makes a lot of sense for a squirrel.
