The Amiga stumbled up a flight of stairs so the entire rest of the industry could walk normally, the fact it succumbed to being a bitch slave for britbongs to pacify their children with hard panned techno and chrome gradient plated games is tragically hilarious. Now if you want actual tragedy, look at how Apple did everything they could to make the IIGS fail just because it was making the Mac look bad.

I think the games were definitely shit, but look who was making them. I don't think Europeans discovered how to make decent games until the late 90s. Sometimes I'd watch gameplay videos of Amiga games and they'd all look horrible. Maybe 1 out of 30 looked interesting, but not necessarily fun to play. 1/100 looked fun to play, maybe.
Nah it’s not the Europeans, it’s the British. The British did not know how to make games until like 1994.

The PS1 era made the Britbongs better at making games.

Check out this ZX Spectrum clone from 1985!
Good ol' Soviet-imported practice, see what the westoids are doing and clone the fuck out of it with cheap materials.
For the benefit of the international proletariat!
When I hear ZX Spectrum.

Had a Atari ST, a pass down from my mothers family in the Netherlands when we came here. That thing was next to useless
The Atari ST still holds legendary status among music producers old enough to remember it. Built in midi port was an amazing design choice, and Cubase runs on it.

Fuck y’all faggots.

I could multitask on my A1200 with a puny 80mb hard disk in a way that a PC couldn’t for over a decade.

Wow, 80mb of primitive furry porn huh, yeah rest of society was busy playing Doom and getting office work done

Which the Fujitsu FM Towns was able to do as well. That was 1989.
Bullshit.

Considering that the FM Towns was a 386 computer with some custom Fujitsu chips running MS Dos/Windows with a shitty overlay, it maaay have been able to switch between two tasks occasionally without crashing, but that’s not multitasking.

The Amiga was a fantastic games machine for its time. Used to buy the pirated discs down the local market.

SWIV, Project X, Speedball 2 to name but a few. Ice cream, ice cream!
