With the Nicobay thread up recently, I figured that we might as well spread our reach to this wonderful little subset of people. You know them, I know them; those people who spend literally all their money on art or plushies or poorly-written porn of their characters.

Furries are always the most guilty of this, but I've seen quite a few from other places, so I figured that making the thread more general would probably do some good. Tell me if I'm fucking up or if this is the wrong subforum--not sure where to put this as it isn't exactly it's own community, but I figured it's enough to go here and not in the Lolcow board.

Examples include Lupine Assassin, a crazy military member with an uninspired OC; everyone's favourite Dragoneer; Nicobay, who has a thread here, and probably a good percentage of anyone on e621 or who has a recognizable fursona or OC. Stalking grounds include e621, FurAffinity, DeviantArt, and occasionally Tumblr, though those seem to be a bit more rare in that regard. I've also heard that SecreT tends to commission a lot of art, but my searches for accounts of his has been unsuccessful thus far.

I'm not sure if this topic is suited for a thread in community watch. CW threads seem to work best when structured around a specific website or other clearly defined Internet community, whereas this seems like a very broad and loosely defined group, at best.

I agree with that, and since it's went overnight without additions, I'd rather just lock it for now. If there's actually a specific community of these people, though, or some other reason, I might unlock it.
