I'll take anyone's money but CG isn't my audience and they've said repeatedly how much they don't like me. I'm trying to find a book audience anyway instead of a comic book audience. Most of CG and most of my audience don't buy regular books.

I'm not going to censor myself because of a few dollars--dollars which they were not giving me in the first place. CG is a cult. If they had ONE MORAL they'd stick up and say what Donal did was not right. They would've done this a YEAR AGO when I was telling everyone what happened. Over the course of a year they've done nothing but endorse Donal.

Look at all the replies to Donal. How many CGers have actively been telling him "it's not Nasser's book don't pay him"? There have been many replied and endorsements like that. CG doesn't care about me.

I'll take anyone's money even if they're CG, but they're not really my audience and actively encourage Donal to steal from m.e

They WERE your audience, and now you don't seem to have an audience.

They WERE your audience, and now you don't seem to have an audience.
And when they WERE, none of them wanted to stick up for me when I was lied about, smeared, and stolen from. And now they're actively encouraging Donal to steal from me.

COMICSGATE NEWS UPDATE: THE SPOILERED EDITION
FROM KICKSTARTER AND INDIEGOGO
Magical underpants wearer and possible potato head impersonator Clint Stoker, aka Sweetcast, has launched his third Indiegogo project a science fiction story called F.A.T.L. Following on from the mild success of Downcast and it's sequel Downcast: Rize and Fall, Stoker has raised almost 30K from over 500 backers in the space of twenty four hours, an impressive sum when compared to the earnings of his previous two books. The story follows Flynn, an alien exterminator, as he responds to a distress call from a posh planet full of sycophants. The book features some appealing artwork and is a notable improvement both visually and thematically on the otherwise bland concept of Downfall, which had been previously described by critics as "okay."

While an improvement on the previous offerings from Stoker, this reporter remains skeptical of the $25USD price tag with shipping for a 52 page graphic novel, especially since Stoker was reported to be publishing Downfall through Alterna at a much cheaper price.

Every-bodies favorite best boi Zack reported that The Expendables: Go to Hell would be ending on the 14th of August over five days ago. Currently the campaign still remains in-demand. Whether this was a marketing gimmick by Zack or Indiegogo's slow response time to take down the campaign remains to be seen, however anyone who considered backing the book and hasn't done so yet might want to take the opportunity to do so while still able. The Expendables currently sits at close to 270K from over 4K backers and recently hit its 250K stretch goal of a unit patch for every backer.

Yay, more tchotchkes.

Indiegogo isn't the only place for sourcing independent, crowdfunded comics as a flurry of creators launched multiple books on it's competitor site Kickstarter. Throwing his hat into the race is DC writer Scott Snyder with his project Nocternal, which has currently raised close to 110K from over 2K backers. Snyder however reportedly has former Kickstarter Commissar Camilla Zhang working as campaign manager on the project, provoking a boycott from Comicsgate customers. How well will the campaign perform? We'll have to wait and see.

Another great success story is the launch of Earthworm Jim 2: Fight the Fish by perpetual Comicsgate boogeyman and Legion of Doom leader Doug TenNapel. Opting this time to launch the book first on Kickstarter followed by Indiegogo, Doug may be seeing some resistance to backing from some of the more anti-SJW comic book backers whom view Kickstarter as an SJW company. The book currently sits at close to 180K from over 2700 backers and may have been a good gamble by TenNapel, exposing the book to a larger audience than what exists on Indiegogo. This reporter looks forward to seeing both the Kickstarter and the Indiegogo campaigns end, to analyze the data.

And of course the other big success story of the week on Kickstarter is the latest installment of the Lady Death series by crowdfunding veteran Brian Pulido. Pulido has currently raised over 270K from close to 1900 backers on his twelve issue of the titular character, proving once again he remains the King of Crowdfunding.
ld.PNG

The three heavy weights of Snyder, TenNapel and Pulido once again dispel the myth that only Comicsgate can provide creators a crowdfunder in the six figures, proving that name recognition, quality products and respect towards their fans mostly play a part without being devoted to a hashtag movement.

Honorable mentions also go to Timothy Lim with his third outing of Black Hops, which ends in 27hrs and former Comicsgate indie darlings Brian Ball and the Rags crew with the uncensored version of their series Rags both also only available on Kickstarter.

The verdict came in and a winner was decided in Preston Poulter's, aka @PocketJacks Comicsgate™ shared universe competition. For those not in the know Poulter was running a contest with a two thousand dollar cash prize to aspiring comics creators to help fund their own project. Poulter and kiwifarms own VikkiVerse came to a decision as judges that Larry Holder and his entry Primal Chaos was the worthy winner.

Crazy orange retard and youtube chat, banhammer smiter of humble reporters, Liam Gray took some time off from upper cutting his mother to go fight the ocean instead. Gray also commits wrong-think by dead-naming kiwifarms best girl CWC in a tweet chain where he also claims to be descended from Irish royalty.

And finally documenting the fall of Warcampaign, Panboy tweets out a retarded self own detailing just how colossal the collapse of the group has become. In a tweet bragging that Warcampaign gets more than 50 live viewers per Dlive stream, Panboy fails to recognize a dramatic fall from the close to 400 live viewers during their Black Dragon fail stream mere months ago.

Well that's it for this news update. Comicsgate has been pretty quiet lately with no major news, so I've been taking a well earned break in the meantime. The latest big news is obviously the shakeup at DC which was reported on previously by other kiwi's in this thread and the return of Camilla Zhang. Personally I'd love to see Snyder's campaign face plant however as previously reported it has already hit the six figure mark despite her association to the project, let's hope it doesn't do too well.

This was also the first test of the "spoilered edition", I noticed these Comicsgate News Updates tend to be a little long, so I figured I'd shorten them for users who didn't want to scroll halfway down the page. I think I'll continue this format in future.
As always stay safe in this crazy world of ours and when in doubt enjoy a brisk drink. :bluelabel:

You're asking a lot from your customer base to not only pay you in advance for your comic book project, but to also pay attention to your business dealings
and defend you on the internet from Donal Delay.

Remember, ComicsGate is only .0001% made up of Donal Delay, and it's mostly people who wanted to give you money for your horror comics.

Pulido opens up backerkit after the Kickstarters end and people can go on there to purchase items without having to use Kickstarter. That's what I've done his last few campaigns. I never pledge on kickstarter because they're dumb faggots.

Is it asking a lot to pay in advance when I fulfill in a timely manner? On time for Stardust, and admittedly I was 4 months late on Trixie but that wouldn't ever happen again.

How is any of this me asking for a lot? You've asked for way more, you asked for $200,000 for Zack's GoFundMe. I didn't ask for $200,000. All I wanted was for people back then (and now) to talk about how wrong it was, but not one of them defended me, because the narrative was NASSER BAD HE DESERVES IT.

I would be fine with CG if they bothered to call out their own, but they don't. Donal is CG therefore theft and lying is right, and they have encouraged him to steal from me.

Will you do any future projects with Delay?

Sure, maybe! I don't think I've ever done a project with him yet. But he's a good artist.

Yes, it's still asking a lot. Your customers don't owe you anything.

Zack's GoFundMe was a cause that all ComicsGaters felt was important to them personally. You getting jacked by Donal isn't, for some reason.

Didn't I publicly call out Donal and tell him he should pay you $3000, which is what he spent on a computer for himself? Why pretend no one has spoken out about this?

You did call him out, so thank you for that.

I'm not "pretending" no one has called him out. Most people have been completely silent on it, when they'd be outraged if Donal did it to somebody other than me. I just don't like this--people don't want to speak up because I'm "unimportant" or "too small to care about". That's what I don't like. So many people are just shrugging, acting like it's nothing, and he has so many people replying to his tweets telling him stealing is right. It's nasty and I don't like it.

Thank you though for mentioning on that Oz stream that he should pay me what he spent on that computer and stuff.

Unless you sue Donal, it doesn't seem like you're getting any money from him. Business deals that sour like this mean there's absolutely no good will, and Donal can easily just spend all of the money producing and shipping the comic, leaving no profits to split.

I think that's the end result of all of the fighting. Donal wants to fuck you over, and I'm afraid he's going to get this particular laugh.

2 lawyers told me there's no money in this particular case, so unfortunately he is probably gonna get away with it. I just hope he can be a legit human being for 5 minutes and pay me.

That money, even on the low end, is life changing.

It's in God's hands. Donal should be fulfilling it any day now. I guess we just wait and see if he pays me.

Thanks again Ethan for saying something about it, and thanks again for your help getting my comics funded.

My mistake, I thought he did work on one of your CF books. I must have you confused with Cecil.

Will you enjoy donal's wife boyfriend's pizza?

It was a waste of 200k to be honest.
