Seriously? When they've been vomiting wokeshit nonstop, and their shitty shill Joe Quesadilla publicly shits on comics fans daily over wokeshit, they pick Art Spiegelman as the guy to censor?

Yeah, it doesn't make for good optics. Regardless whether or not you agree with Art's essay (as I believe it was published in its entirety in The Guardian), censoring him of all the comic creators, in light of what Marvel's published and editorial's pet favorites have gotten away with scot free on social media, it comes off as extremely gutless and cowardly on Marvel's part.

Ah, nuts. I had to check something and my suspicions were true.
The douchebag comic book writer Aubrey Sitterson is the same Aubrey Sitterson who was the 2K Community Manager for the WWE Games.

http://aubreysitterson.com/goodbye-2k/

I remember him in the 2K Forums and he didn't seem too bad in the very few interactions I saw of him.

Although, there seemed to be people who saw the light back then, too:
Aubrey Shitterson is one of the biggest faggots on the internet. Anyone who communicates with that piece of shit in any way regrets it. He devoted his career to shitting on GI Joe fans and pissing off the toy collectors club to the point that they created an entirely new line of toys (NOT exactly like GI Joe) to get away from IDW and Shitterson. Fuck that guy.

When he tries to mansplain how to conduct a heist at F.E.A.S.T., it only further angers the women.

We then find this new Syndicate views the New York City crime scene as biased: Alistair Smythe tried to belittle Lady Octopus over her own work; Rhino doesn't treat Scorpion equally; and White Rabbit admits Hawkeye makes passes at her in battle, which she finds offensive.

That has to be satire, because the girls are angry that:
1) A man caught and helped her correct an error she made before it led to catastrophic failure.
2) A man refused to humiliate her in an arm wrestling match she had no chance of winning.
3) A hero who was attempting to subdue her went easy on her instead of mercilessly beating her unconscious.

Again: I think Art is lying

They made Trump MODOK. And Trumps rhetoric has gone in several villians mouths

Marvel's All-Female Villain Team Takes Aim at Toxic Masculinity
by Renaldo Matadeen – on Aug 19, 2019 in CBR Exclusives
WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for The Amazing Spider-Man #27 from Nick Spencer, Kev Walker, John Dell, Laura Martin and VC's Joe Caramagna, on sale now.

Marvel's The Amazing Spider-Man is changing the dynamic of Peter Parker's social circle in a huge way as he's been forced to defend his roommate, Boomerang, from the new incarnation of the Syndicate, an all-female crew sent by Wilson Fisk to kidnap him. But while the latest chapter sees the team pursuing Boomerang to undoubtedly score a major payday, we eventually discover a common ambition the members share: They want to bring down the patriarchy and, more so, take a shot against toxic masculinity in a New York that they believe should have more women in power.

When the women attack Boomerang at the F.E.A.S.T. Center, Peter hides Aunt May away and returns, costumed for a team-up he doesn't want. He knows Boomerang ran afoul of the Syndicate, but isn't sure why. Electro and Beetle have valid reasons, as Boomerang betrayed them to save his own hide, and the others -- apart from Trapster, who's only there for the violence -- bring to light a disturbing history with Boomerang from the Bar with No Name.

While he's now on the straight and narrow, flashbacks show Boomerang obnoxiously hitting on Lady Octopus (Carolyn Trainer, who was briefly Doctor Octopus in the 1990s), Scorpia (Elaine Coll, a new Scorpion given powers by the crime boss Silvermaine), and White Rabbit (Dr. Lorina Dodson, an Alice in Wonderland-themed villain). The women are rightfully annoyed, and as their vendetta comes to light, it turns out Boomerang might have crossed some lines with his forward behavior and frat-boy mentality. Nonetheless, while they make their own #MeToo list after knocking out Spider-Man and snatching Boomerang, they still owe a major part of their business to Fisk. It remains to be seen how their partnership will evolve, but for now, he'll definitely be impressed by how they took out the wall-crawler and apprehended someone he's been hunting for a long time.

With technology at their disposal and Fisk controlling politicians and media arms, they could use his extensive resources to help get rid of others they view as oppressive, which would only strengthen the Kingpin's grip. Beetle already made it clear they're about ideas and improving the class of criminal running the city; with Fisk backing them, Spider-Man could be in for a front-row seat to a shocking makeover right in his backyard. The Amazing Spider-Man #28 goes on sale Aug. 28.
Wow, villains act villainous. Whodathunkit. I bet they wouldn't have minded Batroc the Leaper chatting them up though.

Why I am weirdly reminded of that Star Wars comic with the insane Vader fan who eventually gets neatly sabered by Vader himself when she invades his quarters? Why are people so shocked, shocked when villains act like bad guys?

I think the only permanent dead character in comics is Ben Parker, and that is still quite skirting the line since he lives in other alternate universe and stuff
Death and actual impact in comics matters just as much as what are you going to eat for lunch tomorrow we seen so many changes just reverted or cut off completely that there is no stake or worry about it.

Mega LOL at that Spiderman comic. Three of those ladies are using tech and names DEVELOPED by men.

On top of that, Miles Warren (aka The Jackal) was making clones that inherited memories while Lady Octopus was still in diapers, so I press X to doubt her "I did it first!" claim.

As for Scorpia: Bitch, has she SEEN how jacked Rhino is? He wouldn't just beat her in arm wrestling, he'd rip her limbs off with just his pinkie. He was scared, alright - scared of tearing her in half.

Lastly - come on, White Rabbit. She's a z-lister, and is lucky an A-list hero like Hawkeye wasn't LAUGHING at her. Even the Great Lakes Avengers would feel sorry for her.

Don't know about your point specifically, but I do know that this feminist issue ends with one of the girls drooling over her new lover, so part of me does think it's a satire. Spencer did mockery of Slott at one point.

My point is based on current behaviors of MARVEL they have had no problem with "The Orange Skull."

So I think he is lying about that

Why would you assume Marvel isn't lying instead? They actually have a history of it.

I don't see what's so difficult to believe about Marvel both doing something incredibly fucking dumb or lying about it or both.

And I see absolutely no motive for Spiegelman to make it up and suddenly cancel an essay he'd voluntarily written.

Right but again....Why would Marvel cancel him over ORANGE SKULL

They wouldnt.

Spiegleman doesnt like western comics so he is using the faux controversy to remind people he exists

Maybe there’s more in the actual comic, but it really sounds like the worst thing to happen to these ladies is that guys are...hitting on them? And that gives them the right to seek out violent retribution?

Why would a supposedly for profit corporation do one money-losing thing after another almost like they want to lose money? I don't know, but they do. Given any choice they'll make the dumbest one. It just seems if Spiegelman had something against Marvel he would have told them to fuck off when they asked him for an intro, not written it and then pulled it for no reason and incomprehensibly made up some weird lie about it. Why?

Art is more of an academic in the field of comics than a comic artist or creator, he writes a lot more about comics and their history than actually creating comics. That is why Marvel asked him to write the foreword for their folio.

It is very simple, he was asked by Marvel to write a foreword for coffee table book, a folio on Marvels Golden Era. He did so, including the heavy Jewish influence the era, Nazi Germany, Hitler and The Red Skull. He then drops in the line about the US being under the influence of the The Orange Skull Line near the end of it. Marvel asked him to edit it and remove it since it is completely irrelevant to subject matter and isn't a reference that has anything to do with the Marvel Golden Era. He refused and commenced using his diminishing clout to bludgeon Marvel to gain some relevance and lime light.

Art runs on a predictable cycle: he senses he is loosing relevance, emerges from academia makes some noise, then disappears back into academia until he senses he is become irrelevant again, rinse repeat.

So exactly what he said happened actually happened?
