Yeah, it's kind of unfortunate that the first comic he released is his "sucks on purpose" one.
I am convinced that it does suck on purpose, but you know that whole "pretending to be re-tarded" meme. For all Zack talks about comics with no audience, this is also a comic for no audience. The audience of people who appreciate the lower-class South Texas/Mexico border vibe (which I'll assume for argument that Zack is channeling), AND see a bit of themselves in whatever sort of blue-collar/ex-military outlook the comic's going for, AND have an affinity for intentionally trashy media, AND buy indie comics? That's got to be at least as narrow as the audience of soy-drenched male feminists who enjoy getting pegged by their wives' sons.
