I think this all comes down to Ethan being the de facto leader of comicsgate, but only because that's how everybody wanted it. All the fanboys came in their pants when he showed up and legitimized CG, the problem (and the price) is that EVS is kind of a dick and he's really only interested in himself. That why's he fucked up the CashGrab deal. I think he felt that he was going to be obligated to push it and when he did the Anti-CG side was going to bring up Nerkish's Discord server. This would only bring up more Nazi shit and basically interfere w/ Ethan's money. Same reason he had to disavow Jon Del Arroz, similar reasoning also made him try to reign in Tim Lim when he (Ethan) came out and said that CG should avoid political comics (the whole "Transcripts" debacle). I like the guy but he's becoming a gatekeeper, but only in service to himself and maybe just a little two-faced. Also be on the lookout for Sketch Therapy, some spergy Vet (supposedly) who claimed to have outed the Discord server a few nights ago on the Warcampaign, dude's literally got Ethan's cock and balls in his mouth.
