I do recall that Gail Simone was let go of the Batgirl book- 2012ish?? The industry out cry was so great that DC was pretty much forced to bring her back on board.
The same might happen to Chuck considering he's part of the SJW crowd and they are known to scream like babies until they get what they want.

on a side note: I remember being at Bookoff(used bookstore) and seeing the first Aftermath novel on sale. I was really tempted to buy it, but then I remembered all the SJW shit it contains.

sigh, why cant Star Wars authors be more like Timothy Zhan or James Luceno?

He looks like he was crying.

When I first saw this guy he had the avi like he was final boss of the soymale slack-jawed googly-eyed face.

Now look at his attempt at a sober yet subtly defiant stare.

From what I've seen Wendig and others believe he was fired because he used "bad language" rather than because he spewed sustained streams of poorly written vitriol all over public media like a hysterical 15 year old girl.

He exhibits all the characteristics of these depressingly ubiquitous soyboys: a loud and proud consumer and/or producer of the most ephemeral cultural trash, agape mouth, endless catty snarking, unmanly inability to control his emotions, the political outlook of an easily offended child.

I could be wrong but from what I remember, the "outcry" was like, 20 people. Gail went off on a tantrum and got all her friends to write blog posts shaming DC.

"So, here's a thing that has happened..." Ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffuck.

These SJW nerds and soypeople talk about significant events in their own lives in the same obnoxiously twee, childish Reddit-like patois they use to comment on the latest capebook based movies. Are these people simply unable to express genuine emotion in an appropriate or sincere vocabulary and register?

I kinda doubt that will happen to be honest. The two key difference between the Simone and Wendig is that the given reasons for Simone being let go were vague enough that they could be twisted into insinuating it was really motivated by discrimination, and came at a time when people were still sore about the handling of DC's New 52 relaunch that she was able to kindle some of the leftover anger from that.

With Chuck however he's already admitted that it was because he pissed off his editor, who can point to Chuck's own tweets and say "he got fired for pulling shit like this," so even with Anti-CG trying to spin this as the result of a false flag campaign I don't think that shit's gonna get very far.

He'll probably fuck off to either Image or Oni Press. Maybe Boom. They'll welcome him with open arms.

Yes. Look at the soy grimace. Who fucking makes that face naturally? They all started doing it at the same time and now they're all doing it, like clones. It's creepy as fuck. Remember how boomers (actual boomers not meme boomers) are embarrassed by pictures of them in the '70s? And that's just because of bell bottom jeans and stupid looking shit like that.

Imagine the shame these people will feel when the soy face selfies are still there for their children to see, because those poor kids will have to ask the question "who is my real dad anyway?"

The sad thing is he probably put more effort into his Twitter tantrum than any of his work. And I'm sure that "there are some Marvel writers who engage in online bullying" isn't going to bite him and a few others in the ass later on, especially with a certain lawsuit going on.

No, the saddest aspect of this fiasco is Chuck Wendig and the social justice clique being sad and angry he was fired while gleefully cheering at the prospect of EVS being fired from DC (when he wasn’t).

It’s ok when they get people they’ve “othered” fired from their jobs, it’s not ok when they or their ally’s are fired for being shitty awful people. The hypocrisy and nastiness on the social justice side is what feeds the animosity and similar actions on the other side. Maybe if they stopped treating people like shit or wearing their politics in their sleeve people would stop this crap.

At the end of the day, they’re greatly exaggerating the situation and not helping anything like when Chuck writes “I’m deeply worried for my country”. Get the fuck out of here with that shit, you brought this on yourself and the country’s isn’t changing. People are tired of your clique and your shit.

As in...

...they're too basic and boring?

I also how he wants Marvel to accept that creators can express themselves politically (or "impolitically"), yet more than likely is none too fond of Zach and EVS.
What did Stan Lee say?

I ask since I didn't watch the video yet.
I read this as: WE ARE ASSMAD FAGGOTS STILL STUCK ON THE MUSLIM BAN

I'm sure this modern-day classic will have a shelf life longer than the three weeks it took to make it.

Like an inverse My Hero MAGAdemia, this could be funny.

But it won't.

Nazis weren't shooting up baseball diamonds the last time I checked. Just sayin'.

...because this quote...

Tala Ashe said:
“Representation is a really powerful thing,” added Ashe. “When I was growing up watching television, I didn’t see anyone who looked like me. When I think of the kid version of myself, I think it broadens your perspective. What I think is so lovely about this show is that the Legends are this tapestry that represent America today.”
...really gets me.

On what world would simply looking at someone with the same superficial physical characteristics as yourself "broaden your perspective"? I would go more for entities who look distinctly different than me, if the look of someone alone could "broaden my perspective".

This is implying, of course, that the people who would watch DC's Legends of Tomorrow are such absolute shut-ins with no real human interaction that simply looking at a person with different skin color will "broaden their perspective".

We've kind of got distracted by wendingo or whatever but the Stan Lee thing is fucking heart breaking. Seems a lot of statements in the last year from Stan are about to be over turned and there's shit coming we just don't know about.

Tldr is old man rescued from theiving captor, plans to legally cut his head off.

I don't know how much of that was castigating comicsgate, but I'm waiting for the salt where he says "The customer is always right."

Yes, their big political jab at Trump is a muslim superheroine....named ISIS.

To be fair, they were probably thinking that it would be cool if the Muslima was named after a major Egyptian goddess of kingship, magic, wisdom, the sky, and sometimes even the entire cosmos.

Except hahahahahaha oh shit how could that possibly have negative results

He was shoved in front of a camera to shill for the pros with the assholes help.

Since hes been back with his family he's been taking the piss again, upthread he was on about how the hulk represents the green people and if he wants to represent more diversity he will have to find more colours.

I think it will be a wake up when the pros and "journalists" try throwing him under their bus...

Well that makes my tinfoil tingle. Makes you wonder how deep that rabbit hole goes.
