Sometimes it's best to not say anything at all. His response does not look good even without the metaphor. With the metaphor it's even worse to the non-affiliated. Other progressives outside comics wouldn't like it either.

Agree 100%. CG is more spergy since it's more niche but it's not just that. The anti-GG was much competent than their comics counterpart, 'cause the anti-GamerGate crowd at least tried to collude in private and look good in public.

In contrast, it hasn't suck in with many anti-CG that they should look presentable and not collude in public or semi-public platforms. They also seem to shoot themselves in the foot more often too.

Gay Iceman shipped 959 copies. Hahahaha.

Christ, I remember ten years ago you needed about tenK sales to keep your book even in borderline continuation status. At numbers like that we might honestly loop back around to comics being collectable again.

The numbers may be even worse than they appear at first glance. Marvel is notorious for forcing retailers to buy more comics than they can sell, and most of them aren't returnable. So except for the pricier ones that can actually be stripped and returned, these numbers represent copies shipped, not necessarily copies sold.
 
Is there a reason the Marvel website is so fucking garbage for finding out what's happening in a given franchise or what series are being published? You click "Comics" in the top bar and it's just a list of new releases that you have to filter through. Click "Characters" and it leads to a character snapshot bunch of poorly sorted articles that would be nice if they were organized properly.

All I want to do is find out what's up with e.g. Spider-Man lately, which Spidey titles are being published, and see if maybe I want to pick up an issue or two. Apparently that's too much to ask from the official Marvel website.

In some of D&C's videos he talks about having to go around to multiple comic shops just to find a copy of the trash he reviews. Stuff like "America" might become genuine rarities, the only question is if anyone out there will even care to collect it.
 
I can only assume stuff like Thor will, if only so that fans of the real Thor can have a "complete" set of Thor comics.

edit: On the other hand, based on what I see at flea markets, stuff like funny animal comics, if not in pristine condition, have next to no value despite their age and supposed rarity. Non-sports tobacco cards don't have much value either. It really is all in whether anyone cares to assemble a set or not.

SJWs can't fathom failing unless it was a conspiracy of trolls, haters and alt-rigthers after them.

From Hillary flopping on the Presidency to "woke" comic shops being awash in red ink, they really don't see a connection between what they're doing and what's happening, or rather, they feel that being "correct" in their thinking about diversity makes them immune to such things, they've been taught growing up in their insular little bubbles that he who signals hardest wins, and when dropped into the real world, instead of learning that isn't true, they attribute it's failure to work on nefarious forces working counter to the "right" course of history....

In essence, they don't think they're losing, they think they're being SUBVERTED. Which is why they'll never learn, they are dangerously close to conspiracy theorists in that regard, they are not WRONG! The powers that be are just hiding all the evidence!

And even when pushed to the brink, they cannot accept they are backing a model that doesn't work, they can only get angrier at those seditious forces for not giving them their due.

They are well-trained lab mice who got treats if they pushed all the right buttons in the cage who have escaped the research facility and are merrily pushing every button they can find, but are no longer getting the treat. Huh? I pushed the button! I pushed it a billion times!!! They deserve their treats! And if we don't give them to them like they're owed, they're going to come and GNAW OUR FINGERS OFF!

Which also explains whey they don't get that their badmouthing on everyone not only doesn't work, but isn't morally justified at all, merely a temper tantrum (But I didn't get my treat!)

Someone claiming to work with troubled kids posted in the comment section of D&C's latest video, they talked about how the media is pushing alt-sexuality on kids and how it's messing them up.
D&C asked the guy to contact him, so maybe this will be a subject for a future video:
