I did watch someone stream the game. It looked simple, not as awful as it seemed online but not much better(which Ironically kinda makes it worse, because at least if it was that bad than it could be so bad it's good)

The game is both simple and incredibly boring. The combat system is very poorly designed, the game is full of long cutscenes and there is way too much walking around.

In development, it was a really ambitious open world game with two-player combat. However, the game development was a total disaster. They reached a point where they had spent a massive amount of money and had a game that didn't work. So they took a chainsaw to the original game and transformed it from a open world game to a linear path game. They pulled out multi-player. They also dumbed down parts of the game and/or turned them into autoplay segments to get around serious problems in the game.

So what you have with Wolverine is an incredibly expensive AAA game dumbed down into something rather mindless and simple.

Then there is the story. For whatever reasons, Marvel/Disney decided a long time ago to allow the video games to have an entirely different continuity than either comics or movies.

The story of Wolverine is the story of the events that led Jean Grey and Wolverine to found the X-men. Jean Grey is actually the central character in the game. Wolverine is now sort of immortal and Jean Grey is now endlessly reincarnated through time. The love of Logan and Jean throughout the centuries is now some endless universal constant. And they seem to have slotted Mr. Sinister to be new Magneto to Jean Grey's new Xavier. And now before the X-men, Mystique, Saber-tooth, Wolverine and Mr. Sinister were part of a super-hero mutant team together.

I mentioned the cuck thing towards Gambit a while back:
Modern Marvel hates Gambit due to his Pepé Le Pew-ish behavior. When I used to hear the Marvel podcast, Ryan Penagos would go out of his way to shit on Gambit and mention how much he hates him due to how much of a "problematic" character he is.

Eric July made more than 5 million dollars the year, I don't see how he thinks he's doing worse.....but the guy is a delusional loony repeating a 4-year-old psyop that even I don't take seriously anymore. If EVS wants to wait for something that's never going to happen and drive himself crazy I say let him.....He's only damaging his psyche he's not damaging Eric.
