I'm watching this documentary on Ray Gunn, the Australian breakdancer who made a fool of herself, was it last year? And I've heard a lot about this. I've heard about this before, I've actually seen the clips and it's so much worse than you imagine. So, her choreographer is, I believe, her husband.
And while I'm watching them interact and the way he led her down the garden path to global humiliation, I just had to say to myself, constant compliments is a form of abuse. Because it's just like, oh God, this idea, she's like, his idea is amazing. All of his ideas were stupid and he made you look like an idiot.
Also, just Australian breakdancing, just no. It's just, no, stop it, stop it. We've got our own take on it.

That's what makes a good comic, if you mail things good. If you don't mail things good, then you're not good. Yeah, his comics are dog shit.
His latest thing is he's like, I've been banned on Reddit. Nobody reads your books. There are no, oh I want to have a discussion about the Ripperverse.
That doesn't exist. Because Eric July has encouraged his acolytes to viciously attack anyone who criticizes his books. So he lives in this criticism free zone, and what do we get? Twin tricks, Stefania, world's Florida's finest.
Like just the stupidest comics that ever existed. Also, the SJW era, specifically the SJW books. You were not allowed to criticize them.
All you could do is just give ridiculously over the top, oh my gosh, Squirrel Girl is so delightful. Liz Marvel is so delightful. Every character is so delightful.
So what do we get? Bland, slice of life, dress up comics. Where they would literally cut out the fight. And they would just, they would begin.
What is that writing? There's this phrase in writing. It's like, start late, finish early. They would start after the fight.
It would just be like Squirrel Girl saying like, that was easy. Okay, we get it, the joke is Squirrel Girl is surprisingly formidable. But you did that with all of the SJW characters.
And you couldn't, you weren't allowed to respond at all. The worst thing you can do is set up an environment for creators where they're not allowed to be criticized or any criticism is delegitimized, demonized. Because then you just go, that must be amazing.
The way this husband and wife couple talk to and about each other is the worst thing ever. It is setting you up to look like a foolish asshole. So then you got things like toxic negativity, which we are seeing with what is the weird wonky official name of it? Insomniac Marvel's Wolverine.
I think it's called, I think the official name of the game is Marvel's Wolverine. And I'm very excited. I was like out of town and then I went home for a day.
Well, not really a day, like a night. So I played like, I don't know, 30 minutes and I loved it. And then out of town again.
So I'm like, so I'm excited to get home and be able to play it. But the criticism has been so insanely vicious that it's actually like making the criticism look just ridiculous. Even for things that might be a criticism.
But the thing is, there was never any actual criticism. It was just dopey culture war stuff. You know, hatred against Sony and Marvel and Insomnia.
So I guess the latest one is you can't crash the bicycle on a bicycle level I haven't gotten to yet. To which I say, even as a casual gamer, that has been a thing. I remember there was this, I think it was one of the Call of Duty games.
It was the one set in Vietnam. The main guy, he's riding a motorcycle, shooting a shotgun. And like, you can't crash that motorcycle.
And the aiming, you're hitting things like the first time. They did like, you know, the kill box on that shotgun was ridiculous. So I remember it just became like a running joke.
It's like, you're just mashing a button and driving a motorcycle. And I think you even had some jumps in there. At some points.
But if you want to say, is that, you know. One of the funniest things is I'm seeing these criticisms where they're just showing like, a still from the game. And they're like, this cost 300 million dollars.
It's like, what? And even just like, you know, just seeing people do gameplay. This, okay, first of all, the game is not linear in the way you think it. Especially not the way that skill up guy implied it was just going down hallways.
It's like, you'll go to, what is it, Shinjuku. And even though it's not technically an open world, that's a damn big level. And then you'll go by a shop that you can't like, go in.
But it'll be like, they completely model it. Whereas you have games like Spider-Man 2 that's an open world. But every window is like, reflective so you can't see.
Not all of them, but most of them. But anyway, so. Is toxic negativity just as bad as toxic positivity? Well, you know, they've.
There's the announcements. They've fixed the fart trail so it's more diffuse. Are you happy? Oh, you're still complaining? So when things get better you still complain? Okay, so you actually didn't want things to get better.
You just wanted to complain. So I still contend that blue is like an odd color for it. What is the better one? I don't know, but blue seems a little off.
It seems like an infographic instead of like. I understand it's like him imagining it in his mind. Because he's seeing it.
Because his mutant sense of smell detects it. Choosing between toxic positivity and toxic negativity. I would say toxic positivity is worse.
Because toxic negativity will occasionally make, by accident, a good point. Now I haven't confirmed if the you can't crash the bike is on the easiest level or the hardest level. I've seen some people say even on the hardest level you can't crash the bike.
But do you want to crash the bike? Is that fun? I think whatever that level is about. I mean, I was playing a side-scroller of Terminator. Actually a fun side-scroller a couple months ago.
