@EGB's point was that Kamen America hit over $100K and 2,000 backers in a roughly 72 hour time frame. It's very simple.
Did Malin do that? If not, what are we even discussing? You're counterargument to EGB here is off base.
I will, in fact, predict that Tim will have more backers than Malin's current campaign after Tim's campaign ends in 37 days.
As for whether Tim will break $200,000: Maybe, but probably not. Not this time. I lean towards "probably not" because again, Tim's book is about half the price of Malin's. Tim will have to have about 4,000 backers to hit that. Especially considering the figure (most expensive tier) sold out in minutes.
I don't think 3,000 backers is entirely unrealistic by next month, but I think he'll have more than Malin regardless.
As a consumer, I really like Tim's pricing, so I am hardly gonna advocate Tim raise his prices it just to beat out all the overpriced CG shit in these crowdfunding campaigns. Win a meaningless Internet argument so I can pay more for a book I like? Well, that's just stupid.
Pot meet kettle.
His argument is 100K in 72 hours. You counter with "Well, look what Malin did in 45(ish) days!" You missed Edwin's point entirely. I'm sure Edwin is acutely aware that a number of CG campaigns have raised much more money in total. Frog himself being the obvious example.
You must have missed my post.
Thank you Mr. Dongs.
Truly I am humbled. Manning, Boomer. I bend my heads and bow out of this noble numbers game.
All hail king Liam.
