Spoken like a man with Stockholm Syndrome, don't get me wrong perfect response to not offend either party, and (A L L O T) of CG creators are using that response almost word for word.

Its sad to watch grown men and women self censor there words in fear of the rage of a fat pie eating @FROG.

So, lemme give a bit of context to my own thoughts on this. I can't really speak for other people.

To be honest, I don't see the point in the whole thing between Eric and Ethan. Looking at how well Eric's doing with the Rippaverse, I honestly think that the constant complaining about it is just helping him. Streisand effect, basically. I'm pretty sure that the Gail Simone's of the world are laughing their asses off over the conflict. It's not something I'm pleased to see, but at the end of the day I'm not gonna insert myself into a conflict. It doesn't serve a purpose that I can think of, because it's not like some nobody like me is gonna come in with the words of wisdom that get everything to calm down.

Sometimes two dudes that are pissed at each other need to just fight it out and get it out of their systems. I'd rather focus my energy on the stuff I've got going on and fixing my own issues. At some point either EVS is gonna give up, or we'll see he and Eric on a Misfits Boxing card.

Yes and no.

The first part is not that surprising, actually. Vikki developed a strong distaste for KF some years ago when she realized, to her indignation and horror, she wasn't gonna be able to make the site an extension of her court. Something she had grown accustomed to on other forums (i.e. various Discords).

When she says people here can't think, and that Null (our actual overlord) is a "dipshit," what she's actually expressing is anger over the fact she can't exert control over KF. A desire of hers that has become even less likely now given how she's seemingly allied herself with Dick and Vito. The site's hatred of those two goes all the way up to Null himself.

In contrast, the second part is a bit surprising, yes. Her historical nemesis has always been FROG. Whatever July did (I've heard flagging) must have really pissed her off, because July is actually landing some of the biggest hits on CG I've ever seen. Simply through succeeding in ways CG han't. I can't help but wonder if she picked a rather silly time to switch sides back to CG.

On the YouTube side. I think it's a mix of they know it probably annoys EVS to not mention his name. But to also not have his name pop up in the transcript to then have him get recommended to people. Kind of douchey, I guess. But it's not like the guy comes up that often as it is. For the most part, EVS doesn't matter to them.

As for Twitter. Outside of maybe the recent Camelott crowdfund, not sure why EVS would have even come up. Particularly since it would just give him something stupid to talk about for hours. They mostly just do their own thing while EVS slowly fades to irrelevancy.

Vikki and Dean then explained at length how copyrights don't protect anything and that comic reviewers on the internet have an absolute right to show every single page of a book. There were a bunch of other strange takes on copyright laws.

I doubt the flagging surprised them or that there was any real outrage over it. Them using Ethan and Ethan using them is nothing new. Its been going on for years.

imo the difference between reketia vs monty and this situation, is reketia said it as a matter of fact and had a good reputation (at the time of that statement), where as mint salad says it more like an opinion and has a bad reputation. correct me if i am wrong, but defamation per se is for false statements said as fact and believable to whomever hears it.
