One could argue that this started over a corporation desperately trying to sell issues while y'all interpreted it as some sort of Alamo.
Would Jawbreakers even exist without this? Or would it just be another series on an indie publisher?
What Alamo? The guys that took the name and ran with it are mostly the ones that went "Fuck it, I'll do my own thing", starting with EVS and Malin, most notably, AFTER they were both cancelled for being comicsgate.
As for Jawbreakers, what made it big was getting cancelled by Anctartic Press from the pressure of the danger hairs calling it comicsgate even though Zack barely ever even mentioned that word and I dont even think he ever even fully embraced as something he is a part of, it's something Twitter decided Zack is, as I said before.

More or less. The one fly in that ointment is that the way #5 was ultimately handled has undoubtedly led to a reduction in the number of people described in #6. I think he's crossed the Rubicon where people aren't gonna just give him a pass anymore, and will actually be taking a critical eye to the work. Hence, the less than warm reception to 499.
