Ah sitterson. The "genius" behind possibly the most cringeworthily and painfully bad arc of Crossed, in itself the most cringeworthily and painfully bad non-sjw comic (important distinction) franchise I ever read in which the ultimate edgelord weeen schtick of Crossed collides head on with "REEEEEEE FFFUCKING WHITE MAAALE FANBOYS ARE EBIL BIGUT RAPE NAZIS REEEEEEEEE!" autism, with the entire story being literally "perfect and supremely talented dangerhair womyn comic writer/artist is made a rape slave by evil manbaby nurds who force her to write comics they like while assfucking her until she finally breaks free and takes bloody revenge on them as they whine about her being a social justice warrior when she kills them"
That was Max Bemis (of the band Say Anything) who wrote those pieces of shit. Aubrey Sitterson is behind those latest shitty GI Joe comics.

It’s the fucking ‘white homeless man is more privileged than a rich black guy’ argument. Who was the sped that wrote this thinking he was WOKE as fuck?
These guys apparently.

Judging by their previous writing credits, I'm more curious as to who thought giving a show to the short bus writers who worked on that terrible Ultimate Spiderman cartoon. Tone deafness and terrible ham-fisted dialogue were just inevitable with those fuckers at the helm.

I'm bothered by these clowns going "I love Marvel" and then rip apart everything Jack Kirby created instead of wanting that fire to burn for years to come. That destructive behavior is far removed from passion.

I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE!!! *

*unless it says there's only two genders as identified by your chromosomes, then it's wrong and problematic and every "old" way needs destroyed for being incompatible with my current sheltered worldview that I will break down over if challenged.

Good news, this mindset isn't sustainable, bad news, what will teach that unsustainability will be the destruction of long-standing institutions by people sure the last 50 - 100 - 500 years of work got it wrong because they didn't consider the gay dragonkins.

Are they back to ripping on Kirby because for a cup of coffee those scumbags were praising him like the second coming back when all those sexual harassment claims were being made against Stan Lee. Kinda funny looking back that Marvel was at it's absolute lowest around the time he died in 94' who knows maybe it'll be the same when Lee croaks as well let the good times roll.
No, I was speaking in general about "I love Marvel....but we need to get rid of the Lee/Kirby creations. Not enough women/minorities/gay people". That doesn't compute to me unless you only care about logos since you're suggesting we need Marvel without Marvel.

I want to ask a very serious question.

Why?

Why do these people ignore basic economics, and antagonize their core fanbase and demographics, not just by infusing social justice propaganda into everything, but by insulting anyone who dares criticize them for it?

Why have these people not yet learned the lesson of "get woke, go broke", that has been shown in a great myriad of works and mediums these past few years, from the complete failure of Solo: A Star Wars Story, to the piss-poor performance of ALL-FEEMAIL Ocean's 8 remake/reboot/retardation?

Why is it that we have dumb cunts like Brie Larson making utterly retarded comments like this...

I don’t need a 40-year-old white dude to tell me what didn’t work about A Wrinkle in Time. It wasn’t made for him! I want to know what it meant to women of color, biracial women, to teen women of color.

Am I saying I hate white dudes? No, I am not. What I am saying is if you make a movie that is a love letter to women of color, there is an insanely low chance a woman of color will have a chance to see your movie, and review your movie.

...and they get asspats from the comic journalists for it? Why is it that anyone criticizing them gets libeled and labelled as a living soup of bigotry by those same journalists? Do they not understand that this will only harden opposition to them?

So I say this: when you see a work, series, media franchise, or even medium being infected with SJW dogma, collectivist identity politics, and leftist ideology, you need to hit them where it truly hurts. You need to hit them in the wallet, by not paying for the SJW crap, by being selective in your purchases. Only then will they wake up and realize that they should focus on creating a good product or service rather than virtue signaling how woke they are.

Looks like shit is going down within the comicsgate community right now.

EVS and Doug Ernst are beefing about some bookdeal that went bad, and Captain Cummings are sperging out pretty hard as well. Can't really make sense of it yet.

Is it even possible to come up with a gayer name than "Aubrey Sitterson?" That name is gayer than a dozen Liberaces blowing thirteen Tom of Finlands.
Well imagine if he was an Aubrey Sackrider. That's a real family name out there.

The degree to which these hypocrites are blind is only really understood when you realize they think Peter Parker is a character nobody can relate to because yeah, he tries to juggle duty with personal life , but he's a straight white male, fuck him. That Tony Stark has problems with womanizing and the bottle, but those are white male problems, and he's rich, so fuck him. Bruce Banner endured childhood abuse and has a condition that means getting too stressed out means he may level half-a-city and everyone in it... but he's a white male in STEM where they're overrepresented anyway, so fuck him......

People liked these characters because they were already relatable to a LOT of people, despite it being literally IMPOSSIBLE for any of them to exist in the real world.... because exposure to radiation gives you cancer, not superpowers, and no matter how rich you were, and how many gizmos your cool power armor had, if you tried to be a hero in real life, it would be a matter of WHEN not IF that your enemies would find a way to get a loaded gun within ten feet of you the instant you stepped out of it to take a leak.... among other things.

"muh relatable!" is the WORST aspect to SJW writing, because it's irrelevant, but they treat it like DOGMA. They aren't even IN it for the fans, they're in it for their own egoes.

I've said it before and I"ll say it again, SJWs do not love the media forms they try and take over, they only love the notion of being it's GATEKEEPERS and kicking everyone they disapprove of OUT.

We're on year 3 of this, seems they would rather burn it down than relinquish it.

That's pretty much my creedo now. It's made my friends kinda bummed that I won't go see SW movies with them but I can't and I won't give Disney any more of my money.

On the plus side I've discovered my pirate roots. I don't need to give any company who has decided to snub core fans money when I have torrents.

New York Times and DC spoiled the Batman Wedding and people are pissed for multiple reasons. Some reasons include:
  1. They spoiled the ending a couple days before the book releases.
  2. The spoiler itself is causing people to spergout.
  3. The subversion of expectation.
  4. People are dropping Batman pre-orders and shops are pissed.
  5. People are assblasted that they spent money on the Prelude to the Wedding issue for a wedding that isn't happening.
Here's the article:
It Just Wasn’t Meant to Be, Batman
By George Gene Gustines

July 1, 2018

Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle at Wayne Manor as Alfred Pennyworth prepares breakfast for the couple, who first shared a drawn page in 1940. They were to marry July 4 in the latest issue of the Batman series, but stop the presses: Catwoman jilted Batman.CreditMikel Janin/DC Entertainment
Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne, two of the most prominent citizens of Gotham City, were to be married at 6 a.m. on July 4. It was intended to be a quiet, intimate ceremony with just the judge and two witnesses atop the city’s Finger Tower skyscraper. It was a moment that has been building since the couple first met in 1940. It was also not meant to be.
The turn of events is revealed in issue No. 50 of Batman, written by Tom King and drawn by Mikel Janin with colors by June Chung and letters by Clayton Cowles, along with almost 30 other artists who capture a moment in the nearly 80-year history of the couple. The issue, published by DC Entertainment, is to go on sale at 12:01 a.m. July 4 at participating comic book stores.
Ms. Kyle and Mr. Wayne, or rather their famous costumed alter egos, met aboard a yacht as the Cat (as Catwoman was first known) planned a jewelry heist. The plot was thwarted by Batman, but the femme fatale may have stolen his heart. In the last panel of the story, Batman remarks to his sidekick, Robin, “Lovely girl. What eyes!” and adds, “Maybe I’ll bump into her again sometime.” (This encounter was published in 1940 in the first issue of the original Batman series. Thanks to the elixir-like properties of comic book aging and reboots, Batman and Catwoman can still pass for 30-somethings.)
Over the next 78 years, the two have met again and again: often as enemies, sometimes as allies, occasionally with revamped back stories, as comic books do. (In one version of their story, they aged normally, married — after Catwoman served prison time — and both died tragically. Their daughter, the Huntress, would carry on their legacy.) In June last year, their relationship reached a new level when the Bat, as she calls him, proposed to the Cat.

Another quandary came when Ms. Kyle found her dress. She broke into a bridal boutique in the dead of the night. After imbibing in some purloined Champagne, she helped herself to a $28,000 lavender and black lace gown (which was designed by the comic book artist Joëlle Jones; the groom’s gray three-piece suit was designed by Mr. Janin). She then sneaked back to stately Wayne Manor, where she spooned with an unknowing Mr. Wayne. This vandal and thief was the future wife of Batman?
Wayne Manor is the setting for many of issue No. 50’s emotional scenes, some of which are depicted in parallel as the couple ready themselves for their ceremony in separate wings of the estate.
Ms. Kyle is assisted for her dawn wedding by Holly Robinson, a friend and protégée who was introduced in 1987. Ms. Robinson noted to Ms. Kyle that she had never seen Mr. Wayne so happy. “He always seemed to need his misery” to serve his crusade, she said, as the two prepare to leave for the ceremony. The observation begins to stir some doubt in Ms. Kyle, who later asks her friend, “Am I a hero?”
Mr. Wayne has his own confidant, namely Alfred Pennyworth, his loyal butler for 75 years, who often wonders if his employer will survive his evening exploits. Mr. Wayne complains that his wedding suit is “too tight,” and Mr. Pennyworth is quick to jokingly scold: “Every night you wear a molded leather bat suit. You will be fine.” In another sequence, Mr. Wayne expresses his doubts to Mr. Pennyworth: “Can I be … happy?”
The answers to the questions are found in letters the couple have written to each other before their wedding day. Mr. Wayne’s correspondence reveals an acceptance of Ms. Kyle, who in her time has been a jewel thief, a villain, an antihero and a mob boss. “You’re not someone who can be figured out. Or solved. And never will be,” he declares. He also writes that he can be “more than a boy whose parents are dead,” that he can be “the man who loves you. Who will always try to love you better.”
Ms. Kyle’s letter lays out the truth as she sees it: “You’re still a child, Bruce. A hurt child.” Their happiness, she speculates, would kill Batman, who rescues everyone and turns pain into hope. “How can I do that,” she writes. “To save the world, heroes make sacrifices.”
In order to keep countless innocents safe, she concludes that she cannot marry Mr. Wayne. “My sacrifice is my life. It’s you.”
In the final moments of their story, the bride and groom end up at different locations in the early morning hours. In a silent page, Ms. Kyle sits on a rooftop, contemplating. She discards her veil and leaps toward the street. At the Finger Tower skyscraper, after an hour of waiting for his bride, Mr. Wayne realizes she is not coming. He throws off his tie and takes a similar leap, but in the opposite direction. Theirs is a story that is forever to be continued.

The Internet Reacts to Batman Wedding Spoilers
By NICOLE DRUM - July 1, 2018
Batman fans have been eagerly awaiting Batman #50 as the milestone issue as it has been highly hyped as the wedding between Batman and Catwoman. However, DC Comics released major spoilers for the issue earlier today revealing exactly how the DC wedding of the year goes down and fans on the internet have a lot to say about it.
SPOILERS for Batman #50 beyond this point.
While Batman #50 hits store shelves on Wednesday, the spoilers released today reveals that the long-awaited wedding between Batman and Catwoman simply wasn't meant to be. Instead, Batman waits for his bride for an hour atop Finger Tower in Gotham before finally realizing she's not coming. It's a devastating story, made even more so by Catwoman's explanation to him.

In a note, Catwoman tells Bruce that she can't marry him because if he is happy -- and they would be happy married to one another -- Batman would cease to be. "How can I do that. To save the world, heroes make sacrifices. My sacrifice is my love. It's you," she writes.
The fact that the wedding doesn't happen isn't a huge shock to many fans. The idea that Batman needs his misery and can't continue to exist if Bruce Wayne is happy is a theme that Tom King has woven through the runup to Batman #50. Batman #49 drives the point home sharply with comments made by the Joker during a fight with Catwoman specifically, but even though many guessed the outcome of the wedding, having it spoiled for them several days ahead of getting to read it for themselves has had an impact. Some were upset that the story has been revealed, others declared that there was no longer a need to buy the issue, while still others are hoping that the spoilers are a red herring and that when the book arrives on shelves Wednesday it will have a different outcome -- something unlikely considering that a new Catwoman oncoing series from Batman artist Joelle Jones also goes on sale Wednesday alongside Batman #50

Readers Slam DC Comics, New York Times Over ‘Batman’ Wedding Spoilers
By CAMERON BONOMOLO - July 2, 2018
Batman readers are speaking out against DC Comics and The New York Times after the comic book publisher and the newspaper spoiled ‘Batrimony’ — the upcoming wedding of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle — ahead of Batman #50’s Wednesday, July 4 release date.
The months-long buildup to the extra-sized anniversary issue ended prematurely Sunday morning when The New York Timesspoiled the outcome in a piece titled — spoiler warning — ‘It Just Wasn’t Meant to Be, Batman.’
The paper detailed the upcoming issue, revealing Batman is left standing at the altar by his bride-to-be, the ever elusive Catwoman, who explains that marrying Bruce Wayne would make him happy — subsequently bringing about the end of his caped crusader.

“To save the world, heroes make sacrifices,” Selina tells Bruce in a letter. “My sacrifice is my life. It’s you.”
The move elicited mostly negative reactions from readers, including vitriol from comic book store owners left on the hook for cancelled pre-orders as result of the premature spoilers.
DC Comics Vice President of Sales John Cunningham offered an explanation for the Times story — DC Sales “strongly advocated” getting the news out ahead of the OSD, and the company wanted the outcome preemptively released before the book fell into the hands of “uncontrolled comic book outlets” — but it has done little to quell readers’ anger, much of which has been directed at both companies by outspoken and spurned Batman buyers on Twitter.

"Weirdest part: it was unnecessary! Batman was getting married! You don't need to promote it by spoiling the rest of the story. It's maddening from a marketing standpoint. They robbed themselves of momentum AND likely made one of their top creators unhappy with them. Bizarre."
— David Harper (@slicedfriedgold) July 1, 2018

"I'm gonna stay away from what I read about Batman #50, but I do have to say:
Posting spoilers about it DAYS before it's been released after all the LCS have ordered it is not cool.
I can't help but think that the comic shops are going to be the ones who suffer from this."
— Captain Marvel Talk! (@CaptMarvelTalk) July 1, 2018

"So like I said, I'll buy Batman #50 because my LCS shouldn't be punished for what's been done. But I'm not buying Batman #51. I trusted this book to deliver something great, something inspiring, something with exciting possibilities. Unfortunately, that trust is broken now."
— Tally Dude (@TallyDude) July 1, 2018

"hey folks... if you pre-ordered Batman #50 and you're canceling out on picking it up at your shop -- please please please pick up something else instead. Try out a new title or two. Don't just leave your local shop high and dry. Lots of deserving comics out there."
— Peter Simeti (@petersimeti) July 2, 2018

— Feisty Fan (@FeistyComicFan) July 1, 2018

"Wow, what a wonderful and great way for you and the New York Times to spoil the plot for Batman 50. Now the ones that are going to suffer are the fans who've been spoiled and the comic shops who are facing order cancellations from their customers. Hope you're happy, DC.pic.twitter.com/NX2UX6PP0i"

DC Explains Why They Spoiled Batman’s Wedding
By CAMERON BONOMOLO - July 1, 2018
DC Comics have a five-point explanation for spoiling Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle’s wedding in Batman #50 via The New York Times Sunday morning ahead of the book’s July 4 street date.
John Cunningham, Senior Vice President of Sales for DC Comics, wrote the following on a local comic shop retailer Facebook group:

“1. DC Sales strongly advocated getting the news out ahead of the OSD, so that the Moment of Realization did not occur hours before events began. We even did our level best to try and spoil it here on this page over and over again (and failed). The NY Times article was posted here at 630 a.m. PST not out of “Pride” — please — but to get you the information as soon as we could.
2. In the abstract, we believed the news would break on Monday morning, given the arrival time of physical copies in store and the reality that a copy or a scan would end up being passed to uncontrolled comic book outlets (much like Marvel’swedding issue last week and every other major comic book event in the lat decade).
3. As mentioned here before, any discussion about financial remedies for problematic DC product must occur after the product is on sale.
4. While The Times piece is more fulsome that [sic] some might like, it does not spoil the shock ending of the book for fans. We’re working on getting this posted here for you.
5. I stand by my belief that BATMAN #50 is one of the best single issue periodicals of the last decade, that it is a special moment in comic book history, and that if it’s not the book we (think) we want, it’s the book we need.”

“I’m pissed about things and excited about other things,” Batman #50 writer Tom King wrote on Twitter Sunday, adding he’s “incredibly proud” of the issue and hopes fans still purchase the book on Wednesday.
The spoilers fielded largely negative response from fans, who took to social media to call the move a “marketing gimmick” and express disappointment over having the story ruined ahead of Wednesday’s much-advertised release.

“I’ve already had three people call to cancel their pre-order for Batman #50,” wrote comic shop manager @FeistyComicFan. “I feel like @DCComics owes me money now. I’ve already paid for these issues. @TomKingTK, you really shot yourself in the foot dude. Thanks @nytimes for costing me money.”
Batman #50 releases digitally and on store shelves Wednesday, July 4.

Well imagine if he was an Aubrey Sackrider. That's a real family name out there.

If you're a sports dude, though, you can get away with any name. You can be named Dick Butkus. You can even be named Tyson Gay. You can even be actually gay.

Capn Cummings is sperging out about Ethan Van Sciver

Boy, he sure went full retard on this one.

"WHY DIDN'T EVS KEEP SJW'S OUT OF COMICS OVER THE LAST 25 YEARS, HUHHHHH?".

Oh I don't know, maybe it's because he was a fucking artist employee and not the head of HR at DC.

tl;dw:

"I'm not jealous"... "Seriously guys, I'm not jealous" ... "Not jealous at all"..

"FUCK IT, I'M JEALOUS!" *Autistic screeching*

I saw Cummings sperging coming from a mile away. Recently he’s been commenting passive aggressive stuff on Yellow Flash and YaBoiZack’s videos about how “I covered this already” and other things to that effect.

Here’s one on Zack’s Doctor Strange vid last week:

Both of them are pulling way bigger numbers than Cummings who is barely scratching 1,000 views per video.

It says a lot when a dozey guy like Yellow Flash has a more enticing personality than you.

Imo Captain Cummings has anger issues. This isn't even the first time he's done this. I can't recall when but he's done it before. Yellow Flash can be spergy too, but his videos are still better & he doesn't get as mad.

I can't even get through a Cummings vid tbh. Zack's just got this fatherly charm that makes it easier to listen to him ramble about comic books that the other guys just lack.
