She avoids dying by frequenting the hospital. Because she never tells them that she is suicidal, they cannot legally admit her for psych treatment without her consent. They just sew her up, give her antibiotics and some painkillers, slap her on the ass and send her home to carve herself up like a Christmas goose all over again.

I actually thought of Emo Cutter Girl as well, but nah, they dont resemble each other. I also kinda doubt that it's legit, no idea though.

It's weird for me that they seriously won't keep her in hospital, when she's frequenting with such gaping open wounds...
Thought after some point they can do something along a compulsary admission.
 
No matter how low you might feel in your life, at least you don't mutilate yourself and post the photos on Tumblr to get asspats.

Honestly, I wish she'd draw on her skin instead of cutting herself, like this post talks about. It seems like it'd be a lot healthier than self-mutilation... she could also wash off the ink if she wanted to hide it.
 
Not sure how it works wherever she is, but here, if someone presented at the hospital with serious self-inflicted wounds, that would be taken as defacto suicidal intent, and she could be committed, regardless if she said was suicidal or not. I would think there would be such a clause in the laws in her locale that would allow that as well.

Not an expert but for some people I've known it's been about control; they feel like everything in their life is out of their control but cutting is something they have total control over, including the pain that goes with it. Problem is the adrenaline that comes with the pain can get addictive which is what may have happened here.
Or alternatively she's a strong stomached dumbass trying to be edgy, take your pick.

She's German right? Does Germany have laws that would allow involuntary commitment?

How many drugs is she on? I refuse to accept that she's actually doing that shit to herself sober.
 
Normally I'd have some snarky pseudo-intellectual psychological analysis of what might cause a person to act in a batshit insane way but this defies even me. I mean, desire to self harm aside the sheer pain threshold this girl must have is mind boggling. That image of her pulling her extensor ligament out with a scalpal is horrifying, that sort of action causes absolute agony. She or somebody around her (there's gotta be an enabler involved here) must have some sort of medical training to be able to create these kinds of incisions and then close them up without her either bleeding to death, going into shock or getting an infection and dying of septicemia. The other explanation of course is that she is simply a shock- troll who has access to, and the skills to use, some pretty impressive practical effects to create these kinds of images.

Honestly? If this is legit, I feel really sorry for her. People who self-harm are in desperate need of help because it points to very serious underlying issues. If she's doing drugs on top of that, it's even worse.

Like others have said, I hope her lack of activity means she's getting help, but I wouldn't bet on it.
